Highly recommended. After a lovely walk along the river Wye and across the suspension bridge we took the hand ferry across for lunch. Food and wine were delightful and a lovely stop with beautiful views.

Excellent meal. Superb service from attentive staff. Sensible prices. Good choice of beers. Perfect for a quiet dinner out by the river. Probably best to book ahead. Parking can be tricky on summer evenings

We have been regular visitors to the hotel and resturant with good friend's. The accommodation is perfect, the food always excellent, the beer and wine even better (hic) and the welcome always warm and friendly. A great place to stay with friends and family.

Amazing little find on the river! Got lost trying to find it but it was worth the drive. It gets VERY busy but the food was fantastic, can certainly recommend the pulled pork burger! Good children's menu (not your usual nuggets & chips), wonderful views, great atmosphere!

I was taken there as a birthday surprise, we stayed in the Upper Boat House and it was fantastic - spacious room, very clean, balcony overlooking the river. Food in the restaurant was superb, the staff couldn't do enough to help you, genuinely lovely atmosphere in there, I want to go back and stay with the family for my 50th

Visited here on Sunday lunchtime, it was really busy but the service was good and fast. The food was excellent, lots of choice. We had the ploughman's lunch and roast lamb. Both were good portions and well presented. The homemade chips were fab! I would definitely eat here again.

I stayed here twice this month as a stop off to and from St David's in Pembrokeshire and I wasn't disappointed on either occasion. It was a convenient stopping point as it's only minutes from the main road and it made a relaxing and very comfortable start and end to my holiday! The Saracens Head looks directly onto the River... Stayed in room 11 'The Lower Boathouse' the room was clean and airy, sparse but ideal for a weekend. Everything you'd expect from a decent place: Tea & coffee making facilities, bottled water, TV, hair dryer, chairs inside plus patio set outside, chest of drawers, wardrobe and hooks for your coats, a bathroom with shower attachment, hand basin and a... Just spent 3 nights here for my birthday & had a great time. From the first welcome to the last "hope to see you again" we had excellent service. All the staff were friendly & helpful, the food was great & the room with a river view was brilliant. The breakfasts had something for everyone - my husband rated the... More
