We stopped off at The Saracens Head for lunch during a team building day canoeing down the Wye. There were 29 of us, all hungry and thirsty, all wet and loud. There was hardly any wait for the food or drinks considering how many lunches we had pre-ordered - all came out with names assigned to the lunches making it...

Arrived at about 7:20 pm intending to have a meal as we have done previously on a number of occasions. My wife went to the bar & ordered a couple of drinks, asked for and given two menus (gave table number and opened a tab as intending to eat). We decided what we wanted and my wife went back to...

The location of The Saracens Head is idyllic as it is nestled by the river with the forest all around...it's a very pretty spot. The hotel itself is quaint as it is so old but has everything that you need. The food in the restaurant was excellent (both dinner and breakfast ) The staff were all really pleasant and the...

Went here for lunch last weekend. Really lovely bar, great choice of local food, and wines by the glass. Sat in the bar with our dog, who was made very welcome. Used the ferry after-£1.20 each-good fun, and part of the whole experience of visiting Symonds Yat.

Stayed for the weekend in the Lower Boat House room. It was really comfortable, well equipped with a lovely ensuite. Great breakfast with lots of choice including loads of fresh fruit. We ate in the resuraunt on Friday and Saturday nights, interesting, tasty food with lots of non-meat options. This was a return visit and we will definitely be back...

Over the weekend, myself and my partner had a lovely visit to the Symonds Yat area. We were delighted by the customer service at the Saracens Head Inn, we were particularly pleased with the service from the ferry boy, Jody, who not only got us across the river safely but was more than happy to give us directions and advise...

Stopped by for lunch on a day out. A good menu with lots of GF choice - not just the useful gammon & steak options. I had a child's fish & chips (plenty big enough for lunch), our son had macaroni cheese & liked it, & my Coeliac husband enjoyed a GF chicken supreme. The food took about 40 minutes,...

I had a night's stay here with my husband in a room overlooking the river. Magical. The room was spotless and furnished in a chic Scandi design that was both functional and very comfortable. The bathroom was modern and well designed and about the only hotel I've been to where they actually supply TWO bars of soap ! One for...

Having discovered this lovely Inn when our children were small, we have returned frequently since, both as a couple and as a family, and now with our grown up, married children! The setting is idyllic, the Inn is stylish and comfortable and the staff are wonderful. The food is superb in the restaurant and breakfast is outstanding. We absolutely love...

Very friendly staff, nice pub, average pub grub, comfortable, clean bedrooms, simply beautiful location. Lots of walking etc., to do in the area, nice boat trip right from the door of the pub, canoeing, hand pulled ferry across the Wye from East to West Symonds Yat. Highly recommend.
