We stayed here for the 3rd time as a family of 6 over August Bank Holiday, we knew it would be busy so we booked in advance hoping to get a good space. We were told to park exactly in the middle of the field (even though there were spaces around the outside). The 'wardens' were putting people so close... More

We came to River Wye Camping over the August bank holiday and pitched in the "family field". The tents were squeezed in like sardines which probably went against all health and safety guidelines (if they had any) but this site is cheap so we figured we'd make the best of it. There were seasonal toilets near the field which were... More

£7 for one night in a campervan is good value anywhere (non-electric). However, the place felt very tired, messy and well - odd! I certainly wouldn't stay again if I was planning a longer stay with my family. I'd want more space ( All the electric hook up pitches were really crammed together), better loos and just a place with... More

We camped in the group field for one night. The staff were friendly and helpful. I don't understand why there are bad reviews for this site. The facilities are adequate and clean. There is a pub on site next to the river with various shops including a retro sweet shop.. doughnut stall, convenience store and ice cream hut. There is... More

Really beautiful surroundings but let down by the toilet and shower block. There are not enough of either and they are badly in need of upgrading. The site is also let down by the shop and other facilities. It's a shame because it could quite easily be a great site. Would go back but we have our own facilities in... More

We attended for a weekend break, location was good but site is awful. Facilities are few and far between, 4 showers (that you have to pay a pound for a certain amount of time for) 4 toilets for the whole campsite, dirty, old fashioned, no toilet roll, water taps are hard to come by, bins overflowing, just horrible. Over crowded... More

Over crowded with inadequate and disgustingly dirty facilities. I cannot comprehend how the owners get away with it but my own fault for not reading trip advisor first and booking in a hurry. Only investment made is in a tacky arcade and hanging baskets! Of three toilet / shower blocks on site no more than two were ever available and... More

I have stayed here a few times now and the location has so much potential, I have never stayed more than one night as the facilities are that bad, small toilet and shower block which don't get a good clean often and always a wet floor. The location is perfect for canoeing and has superb near by pubs that serve... More

Awful truly awful. The staff were unfriendly and on more than one occasion gave conflicting information. The entire campsite was unkept, grass very long, the extremely limited toilet facilities need knocking down (some of these weren't connected to mains water!!!!!) and the showers (which you are charged extra for) are disgusting. Tents were crammed in so everyone was on top... More

I begrudgingly rate this as a 1, only as it is not possible to rate a 0. Well, had a sinking feeling when we pulled up and saw that the Reception was in a tired, grubby little shack. This, however, was just the start of it as the toilet block was in a worse state. 2 toilets and 2 showers... More
