We popped in while staying at The Paddocks Hotel, and The landlord Dave was so welcoming, after chatting for a little he suggested a walk we could do to Monmouth, about 5 miles or so. After a pint we left. The next day we did the walk, it was a lovely walk to Monmouth. That evening we went back to...

Nice traditional pub, food was decent and well priced was empty at 2pm on a Sunday afternoon when most places are booming. This may be because it looks closed and not many signs out front encouraging patrons. Also the menu isn't extensive which is fine but it is vague 'selection of sandwiches' which turns out to be 4 different sandwiches...

Staying at a local campsite this was our nearest pub and thankfully the best one. Child friendly, we visited 4 times in a week. On every occasion we were made to feel welcome despite having two fairly young (and thankfuly well behaved) children with us. When we ate there the food was tasty and the portions were generous. Nice log...

Camping nearby and looking for somewhere to eat and drink in the evening and we came across this pub on Google Maps about 5 minutes walk away and we were all very impressed. We've eaten in here 3 evenings in a row and participated in the Sunday night quiz and each time the food has been delicious with generous portions,...

Superb evening spent here with the gang. Food was absolutely top notch...beer consistently good. Hereford pale ale for me, friend on Doom Bar. Tea consisted of Sunday roast beef, excellent, Pork loin with black pudding and bacon, terrific, and steak rosti. Fillet steak with rosti potato and pate. My friend and I doubled up on the steak which we felt...

When we found The Wye Inn we thought it was closed ? as the car park was empty ,The car park is small and has a small beer garden along side of it ,the pub has a side entrance and a very heavy door to open a flight of stairs makes it near impossible for wheelchair bound ,The place was...

Called in this lovely pub largely empty although it was mid week. Landlord very agreeable and chatty. Good range of local beers. Sadly I didn't have time to sample the food but can undoubtedly recommend the pub. The Landlord would love to support darts dominoes or cribbage leagues.

Spent a night here before canoeing the Wye. Great food in the bar in the evening and the very friendly staff were fantastic in accommodating cooking for us late in the evening. The accommodation was clean and comfortable with a brilliant fry-up in the morning. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again if I came back to the Wye valley.

Visited to eat. Place was empty so staff not exactly rushed. Girl tending the bar more interested in her phone than customers. Child's menu was the usual chicken nuggets, sausages etc so we asked if our 6 year old could have a child portion of an adult meal. No...not possible. The food was served by a very nice young girl...

The room was a good size with amazing views mattresses were a little uncomfy. Plenty of storage for clothes which with 3 children was much needed! Breakfast was delicious could of eaten two of...
