Facilities have got even better since my last visit and review in July 2014. My new review is for June 2016, better late than never! Although there is no lift as yet which would be useful, a lot of improvements have been made to the hotel and grounds. There is a beautiful new garden to sit in instead of a...

This Casa is a little off the Camino route, but they will pick you up and drop you back free of charge. When we checked in they gave us the keys to several rooms and asked us to choose which one we wanted. The rooms were clean, beds were comfortable. We could open a window for fresh air. Nothing to...

This was a hotel booked by Camino Ways during my trip to Finisterre. It was off the beaten path but a lovely stay. The proprietress did not speak any English but somehow we were able to communicate. She allowed me to check early which was very welcome. As I was taking a taxi the next morning to the next destination,...

2 days in to our 120km Camino Finisterre, and it was time for a night's rest at Casa Jurjo. The delightful, curly-haired driver picked us up from Santa Mariña, just 20 minutes after we phoned from a roadside bar. Our twin room with private bathroom was very comfortable, with everything we needed. The only odd thing was that 2 of...

We found ourselves at Casa Jurjo because we couldn't get a room on the Camino where we stopped for the night. They were prompt in picking us up from the Camino gratis. The room was spacious, clean and importantly for us that day, warm. While their menu de dia was good, it was their €5 breakfast that stood out as...

A few km off the pilgrim trail but the hotel will collect you and take you back to the camino the next day. Room was immaculate. Food and drink very good value. Not much to do in the town, but if walking the camino this is a tiring day on the trail. No shower curtain so floor did get flooded...

The bar looks over a vast car and coach park. We were picked up by car from Albeiroas as part of our Camino package. The staff seemed to be eating whilst serving which set the tone. They showed us three rooms which was kind. The rooms were a bit small and it was difficult to open our suitcases. There was...

We stayed here in 2010 and it was absolutely fine, did the job but nothing that really impressed us. Back again in 2013 and it was a lovely, lovely experience. Friendly staff, tasty affordable meal options for dinner and a lift to the start of the Camino the next morning. And a *wonderful* breakfast served with a smile! Couldn't recommend...

Again , being picked up by the hotel car when you had reached your limit walking, was a great benefit, we were having a family and friends walking holiday, not being martyrs. George or Jurjo had good english, ( although I think there are more than one George),and was extremely helpful in organising our next nights accommodation and a taxi...
