Well why not? The weather was warm and sunny. An abundance of restaurants in the proximity of high quality including Es Verger, (just dont let celeb chefs near them!) Traditional fare abounds far from the madding crowd! The hostal provides all that you require: a dry warm, air conditioned room, clean linen and continental breakfast. The hostess, Margerita Oliver, is charming and very helpful. The hotel is located adjacent to the town square. So convenient. The guadia civil representative is a stroppy soul who does like you parking , even momentarily, to unload but thats short man syndrome for you. Officious and likes to throw his weight around and screams rather than converses. Parking is hit and miss, but there are free car parks in the proximity and I didnt have an issue finding a space, even managing to park outside the town hall, the night before departure. Alaró is a lovely town with market stalls on Saturdays, well certainly before Christmas. As for the parties, well they were phenomenal with a genuine flamenco dancer, tapas, main courses and puds. Put it this way, I came away a few kgm heavier than I arrived. And now Christmas! I'll lose this weight somehow. But the experience I shall never lose.

Stayed here with my wife and son for 2 nights. We agreed a price with Marga(the owner) for a double room over e-mail. The room was pretty ugly, noisy and dirty, with ants all over the place but we did not complain about it there was nobody to complain with. In fact Marga did not welcome us at our arrival as we came in the afternoon (not evening or night) - apparently she only spends a couple of hours in the morning, mainly to collect breakfast money. Next day she did not ask for our generalities (IDs and so on) as she wanted not to pay taxes for our stay - which she probably did. Checkout day came and I wanted to pay: Firstly she said that I could pay by card, which is what I wanted to do, however she also said that I should pay more as the room had an extra bed that we never asked for, nor agreed about. I answered (twice) that we agreed on something, and that this is an unfair practice, so she stopped asking for more money but said I had to pay cash as “the machine did not work”, I answered that it was weird as 30” earlier she told me the opposite, so she annoyingly took my card and.. tried to CHARGE ME for 50% EXTRA MONEY!!! Luckily I noticed it and stopped the transaction. She justified herself saying it was a mistake (which was honesty impossible to believe and figures were not making sense). In the end the police came and agreed I was right on all points (even though she knew the officer) and also told her - in front of me - that it’s an offense not to declare guests. In all a very bad person masked by a normally fake one. If possible avoid this hostel and this person.

The hostess gave us a room stinking smoke and when we anticipate the departure left us without room and without the money, hopefully travel agency pressured her to comply with the agreement, not a place for tourists, lot of noise, no views, too much traffic, seek and spend your money elsewhere this place don't worth it. Bad woman, bad place

Malos clientes no recomendables

This is a mall and cosy hostel in the absolute center of Alaró. Not far away there is a free parking place. Nice and clean room and town view, even if you don’t see very much from the small window. The breakfast had many alternatives to fill your stomach. Nice personal gave us nice suggestions of things to do and also were to have a nice dinner.

Great Breakfast, Great service, Great location. Airco in the room. Clean bathroom. Location is near town square. Little bars are thus nearby. Parking in the town was a bit difficult. Nice place to stay when visiting alaro
