Ibizazen Hostal is the latest boutique hotel to hit Ibiza. In 2013 we have transformed an Ibicenco farmhouse into a singular 'bohemian chique' design hotel. The name ‘Ibizazen’ comes from ‘Ibiza’ on the one hand and ‘Zazen’ on the other hand. The aim of the ‘Zazen’ state of mind is ‘just sitting’. Letting words, ideas, images and thoughts pass by without actually getting involved in them. Today, the concept of Ibizazen is based on the idea of creating a place in which our guests feel at home, relax, laugh or… just ‘be’ in an environment that is cosy enough to feel at home without losing its exclusive level of service and luxury, as well as material wise as in personal attention.By combining natural materials, recycled items, Hindu, African and Buddhist statues with modern art and luxury Ibizazen reflects modern atmosphere where new and old elements meet and form a complete outbalanced total.Ibizazen is located in a quite rural area outside town and a 300m short walk away from a beautiful, palm-lined paved promenade running the length of the broad and sandy Santa Eulalia beach and taking you to the town-centre.See you soon!

This was our third trip to Ibiza and I can honestly say that we have had the same amazing experience we've had before. Ibizazen is situated just a few minutes from Santa Eulalia town centre but is set back from the road so it has a very peaceful and tranquil feel about it. The pool area has an ample number of large daybeds and umbrellas so there is never a problem finding somewhere to relax or sunbathe. If the sun gets too much, there are a number of shaded areas where you can relax on a beanbag or sit down and enjoy a drink. The hotel works on an honesty system for drinks. Simply wander up to the large fridge, grab your water, beer, prosecco - whatever you need and simply make a note of which drinks you have taken on the notepad on the bar so these can be added to your room bill later. I really like this system as it means you're never having to wait to get served or find someone to get you a drink. In my opinion, it adds to the ambient feel of the whole place. Around the front of the hotel are the beautifully manicured gardens. These are a particularly quiet area of the hotel and it's nice just to sit there and let your thoughts wander. The rooms are nicely designed, very well equipped and the beds extremely comfortable. Small touches such as the Bluetooth speaker, mini bar with drinks and snacks, beach bag and beach towels and sun hats are great. The shower water is always nice and hot and the air con system works very well. The hotel also supplies a large selection of free movies to watch on the flat screen TV. Breakfast starts a bit later at 9am to 12pm which works for us as we normally go for a morning walk into Santa Eulalia and grab a latte from the local bakers. Brekfast is served at your table and includes an assortment of breads, cheeses, ham, crudites, fruit and yoghurt. Eggs and bacon are also available. New this year we noticed there are a few additional dishes that you can pay a small additional charge for which is a nice option if you want something different. Another brilliant stay and we'll be doing our best to get back as soon as we can!

We only had 24 hours here to chill after a yoga retreat I was running in another part of the island. Absolutely loved the vibe. All of the staff were so friendly and helpful, the rooms were great and perfectly equipped, and I loved the Bali day beds and chillout areas. We're intending to come back. It was a shame we couldn't stay longer this time xx

Before we even got to Ibizazen, we had a good impression. Instructions for late arrival and correspondence about our special requirements (single beds for sisters) was friendly, prompt and extremely clear. On arrival, our expectations were more than met. The room was clean, spacious, tastefully decorated and comfortable. Everything you require of a hotel room after a three-hour delayed flight! The location is perfect - close to Santa Eulalia but far enough from the big hotels to feel you're somewhere really special. We loved the pool area and the honesty bar, butt the highlight of Ibizazen for us was the people who run it and work there. Not only were their recommendations for restaurants and places to go spot-on but in spite of only being there three nights, when we left we felt we were leaving old friends! Thank you Sophie, Gerry, Cristina, Cecilia and the rest of the team.

We stayed at Ibizazen last summer for 5 nights, my first time in Ibiza and was looking for a hotel that's relaxing and chilled. Ibizazen is exactly this, I love that the hotel is small yet has everything you need. A very boutique feel, the pool area is stunning and I love the Bali inspired vibes. Booked to stay again this summer!
