A huge thank you to Daniel and Catherine for helping me to organise a surprise party for 29 guests. Also a massive thank you to José, Arellia, and the rest of the team in the kitchen and front of house. The previously agreed set meal was amazing and all of our guests are talking about how delicious everything was, especially the Iberian pork which was cooked perfectly, and the tastiest pork we have ever had, and.. not to mention the best chocolate coulant! The service on the floor was first class with Arellia, Pili & Loli keeping the food and wine flowing at perfect pace. The hotel terrace (or inside) is the perfect place to entertain guests and we had the most amazing time. Thank you team Fructuosa for making the evening very special. If you are looking for an amazing venue to entertain guests or just to go for a quiet meal then this is the place to go! And, if you are looking for the perfect musician for a party then Marcus Myers is definitely the entertainer you need, he made our evening very special and we danced our feet off! A truly unforgettable evening.…
We just came from a beautiful Saturday lunch and enjoyed the incredible Tasting Menu. Not only was it amazing value at 47 Euros for 7 courses but each and every bite was a treat in itself. The presentation was beautiful, the service impeccable and the views breathtaking. One of the best meals we've had in a very long time. Will definitely be back.
I stayed for 4 nights at Hotel La Fructuosa and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. I had stunning views from my room and the hotel is at the heart of Gaucin. Daniel was extremely helpful in arranging all the travel logistics, especially during the time of the pandemic. I had dinner at the hotel on one of the nights and it was a great experience as well. I can't wait to return back to Gaucin again!
Recently had the pleasure of the most beautiful lunch at La Fructuosa. We were spending a couple of hours in Gaucin and passing the hotel/restaurant called in to see if they were doing lunch. They were booked for a private function, but Daniel one of the owners went out of his way to see if the chef could accommodate us before the group came in. We dined on the terrace which must have one of the best views in the south of Spain. The whole ambiance and setting was spectacular - from the pretty terrace with Catherine's (owner) beautiful art to the old wine press as centre stage in the dining room. Javi the waiter was incredibly friendly and helpful and the food was delicious - quality local produce cooked perfectly. And Javier the chef was out for a chat at the end. I highly recommend a visit here - would make a perfect day trip for anyone staying down on the coast. A big thanks Daniel, Catherine and all - and best of luck. Owen from Ireland…
Excellent food and service Wonderful owner and staff We've been here many times before and enjoy eating on the balcony - stunning views - and the food and wines are great. Highly recommended. You'll receive a warm welcome and lovely meal.
We loved our stay at La Fructuosa. Daniel & Catherine were so helpful and their attention to detail in every part of the hotel was just lovely. Our room was spacious, spotlessly cleaning and had everything we needed, including a stunning view overlooking Gaucin and Gibraltar/Morocco in the distance. Sunday lunch was a real treat - delicious food on a beautiful secluded patio. Definitely planning a return visit one day. So much to do in the area, although I would recommend that you have a car.
Very charming little hotel with a nice ownercouple. They were very serviceminded. The room were clean and pleasent, the breakfast very good. We had dinner in the restaurant during a consert. Both the consert and the dinner were excellent. We will certainly come back.
Ive stayed here a few times and the experience never diappoints. I love the few down to Gibraltar. The facilities are great and I love the sumptuous shower room. Breakfast is great as are the staff. Will be back again soon
We had an enjoyable 2 night stay at the Fructuosa located in the centre of the white village of Gaucin. Very characterful spacious rooms, ours had a view all the way to the coast. Sadly the hotel restaurant was not open for diner during our stay but the owners recommended restaurants in the village which were exceptionally good (Platero & Co, and El Atico). Despite us being the only guests for breakfast it was very good with plenty of choice.
The hotel was somewhat hard to find on a small narrow 1 way street and had to lap the town again to get parked. Room however was lovely and just as pictured. We had a wooden fan above the bed so no air con was no issue. Room decor was very cool and the shower room was lovely as well. Gaucin is a lovely quaint village and worth a visit. The hotel manager was polite and helpful when we found him. The evening we arrived had entertainment on so we went downstairs for dinner as well and manager was very accommodating with this. Dinner was ok. Entertainment was enjoyable. Breakfast was very much over priced for what we got and if I went back to this hotel I would give this a miss. Overall room was lovely, Gaucin is lovely. Views from the shower were lovely.
