This hotel is a little out of town, but in a stunning setting on the side of the fjord, where guests can watch cruise ships and ferries come and go. We received a friendly welcome with doughnuts and lemonade. Our rooms were comfortable with beautiful views over the fjord, and well equipped. A place to put the suitcase was provided,...

We travelled for a month through Norway, Sweden and Denmark. This hotel stay of three nights was the overall most enjoyable. Fjord facing room on 4th floor (I think), with a balcony and of course great view. The hotel was clean and quiet. The reception and restaurant staff were helpful and friendly. We really enjoyed the breakfasts and particularly the...

We stayed in Double Room. The hotel is located 20 minutes on foot from the Geiranger town, just next to Ørnesvegen road. Fortunately, there is a lot of parking places for guests around the hotel. The room was spacious and cean and had most astonishing view I've ever seen. In the room there are also avaliable coffee and tea. The...

We stayed at this hotel for two nights and if I ever come back to Geiranger this is the only hotel I would stay. It is bit out of the center but that a big plus! The center itself is regularly crowded and especially chaotic when a large cruise ship arives. So stay here for a beautiful view over the...

We stayed here for two nights. This hotel is well located, a short drive out of town with a good view of the fjord. The service in this hotel is of a very high standard, and the communal areas are very nicely decorated. There are free drinks and snacks available - when we were there it was fresh lemonade and...

I considered this is one of my favourite hotel in Norway. The hotel is located 10km away from the Geiranger town, just below the Ornevegen mountain road. The hotel is located far away from Geiranger town, which is advantageous. During daytime, couples of Cruise ships will anchored in front of the Geiranger town, and thousand of tourists flooded the town,...

Make no mistake, Geiranger is a cruise ship town and there were no fewer than four anchored there during our visit. Accordingly, the town is completely overrun with hordes of tourists crowding the streets and travelling up and down the narrow winding roads in every imaginable conveyance. If you like this atmosphere avoid the Grande Fjord and stay downtown. If,...

I stayed here for 2 nights right before the hotel is closed for winter. Prior to arriving Aleksander emailed me quickly regarding some questions I had. This tireless, professional young man works many hours during the summer season. He is always helpful, courteous and polite. He helped me coordinate my way out back to Alesund so I could see the...

We've stayed 3 nights in a double room with balcony that has great view over the fjords. The rook was very spacious with complementary tea and coffee machine. We had twin bed but it was not very comfortable, unfortunately. The bathroom was in good shape. The staff of the hotel were very friendly. The breakfast buffet has good options but...

The hotel is about 2 km away from the village of Geiranger just at the start of the Ørnesvegen drive. Away from the madness of the port. Great, quiet location by the fjord. Ask for a fjord view. It was worth it! Good selection at breakfast as well.
