We were on a 6wk vacae of Italy. V. Vig. was our 6th stop. The owner was very nice and let us ck in early. The place was spotless and stocked kitchen. We picked this place due to fantastic reviews. We looked at EVERY picture on every site. We picked the 2person garden based on 3pictures of it and a ton of pics of other rooms. Our issues were noise and privacy. This room is next to the walkway to the pool with big metal doors. They serve breakfast right outside the giant window by our bed. But the main issue was the drapes. They were lace, didn't close properly and had spaces you could see through. The bathroom one was shaped like a flag, with see through spaces at the bottom and it faced the shower! The gardener's shed was beside the bathroom and he walked by as I was getting out of the shower. Not sure if he saw but it was very uncomfortable for me. The room was also very dark and damp. When we politely told her it wasn't for us and we were leaving, (knowing we wouldn't get a refund) she was very upset but did offer us a free upgrade because she had an empty room. I couldn't help but wonder why we weren't offered to upgrade to begin with; even at a small cost? We declined the upgrade because we felt she was too upset with us and it would be uncomfortable. I feel like every other room would be wonderful! She said that in all the years we were the first to be upset about the drapes so maybe it was just us? I think this place would still be great; just don't get the room by the walkway of the pool. We don't feel like this room was advertised fairly. Our travel agent also looked at all of the sites and could only see the 3 pics of that room.To us it seemed like an office they converted. It was full of books, there was not a comfortable chair. Instead they had a huge (beautiful) sailing boat model. It was right off the main walkway to the pool, not adequate windows, airflow, or lighting. All little things except for the privacy thing; which we could not overlook.

We have shared our Tuscan getaway with great friends at Villa Vignacce in Betolle, Tuscany. It is a wonderful villa with 2 bedrooms with bath and full kitchen. Our hostess, Annaleesia is so warm and welcoming. She is key to making this visit so much fun. The large pool and garden offered an enjoyable escape from the hustle and bustle of trans Atlantic travel.

My family and I had a great time at Villa Vignacce. Annalicia is a great host and her dog Billy is really cute. My kids had a blast in the pool equipped with a diving board. And the garden is wonderful! The facilities are really great and the apartment is very comfortable and has everything you need!

We had a fantastic two weeks at Villa Vignacce and would have loved to stay longer! The place is truly enchanting, the upper garden in particular. We travelled with our infant daughter who enjoyed swimming in the pool and running around the premises all day long while making regular stops to watch Billy, the dog of property owner Annalicia. She is a great host, very friendly and forthcoming and, together with the remaining staff, made sure we had everything we needed. The place is ideal for family holidays and a great starting point for day trips to Tuscan villages such as Montalcino, Montepulciano and Pienza, to name just a few. Sitting in the garden in the evening is magical - a small paradise in the middle of Tuscany. We stayed in the Granaio apartment, which was ideal for a couple plus small child. We will certainly come back and can highly recommend Villa Vignacce to anyone keen on exploring Tuscany.
