We arrived at Casa Fabbrini based on a glowing personal recommendation. It proved more than right. Paola, Giorgio and their team took excellent care of the 3 of us in a personalized way (with a "no problem" attitude), in a beautiful setting, including La Casa, garden with 20m pool, soothing Tuscan views. La Cucina, requires a special mention; it was delicious Italian & Tuscan with a joyful, creative touch.

Set in picturesque Tuscan landscape Casa Fabbrini is a beautifully converted old farm. Our hosts were so welcoming and helpful. We had a lovely room with en-suite bathroom , views over the garden and beyond. The food was outstanding, if Fabbrini was a restaurant it would be 5 stars. Giorgio is a passionate cook, and his wine is delicious too. He suggested the perfect day out for us, lending a map and marking places of interest to visit. We visited in January so it was wonderfully quiet and uncrowded.we will definitely return when it is warmer to swim in the lovely pool and use the outdoor areas but most of all to sample more of the fabulous cooking!

The atmsphere in Casa Fabbrini is really welcoming and friendly. Mr. Giorgio and Mrs. Paola really care about their guests, you feel like being in a big family. Futhermore they have 3 lovely little dachshund that are the mascot of the house. The dishes cooked by Giorgio and Paola are a delicacy, therefore if you wanna eat delicious typical Italian food this is the place for you and your family. Casa Fabbrini is the best place if you wanna see the real Tuscan landscape and have a moment to relax and leave apart the everyday frenzy.

There are so many Agriturismo Houses in Italy, but Casa Fabbrini has a very good website with nice pictures and the dogs as the symbol of the house, but the reality looks different...
The Building is very nice but not easy to find. There are no signs at the road (maybe a 50€ invest). Rooms are ok but IKEA interior is partially seen, that has absolutely nothing to do with four stars. The staff is with only one exception absolutely unfriendly and likes to talk and smoke together but not to ask the customer if everything is ok. Hand desinfection is more important than kindness.
Dinner was so terrible - answer from the staff was that they are very proud of their kitchen and recipes. I don't care about that when you get 150g Pasta for the first course and then meat which is way too salty. This is no typical italian or tuscan kitchen, it is just bad and arrogant behaviour. Please go somewhere else where the owner works at the site but not in that overrated house where just the staff is present and the owner just wait for the money that the tourists leave here.

Response from Paola Fabbrini, Direttore generale at Casa Fabbrini Val D'Orcia
Responded Oct 6, 2020
Dear guest Jovanotti2020 We are very sorry that you say so many inaccurate things about our house: we do not have IKEA furniture, and do you know why? because all our furniture is the result of our 40-year marriage life, of a beautiful Roman house that moved to Tuscany in 2010, after 4 years of restoration of a 17th century farmhouse. Perhaps in the kitchen, handmade by a talented craftsman from Cetona, there is a steel cutlery drainer from Ikea, is it a big problem for you? You must not touch our private life, because if you go to a farmhouse you are not in a 4-star hotel, you are in a "private house" of a family that offers you a wonderful room with a wonderful bathroom, a wonderful park full of perfect greenery, a wonderful salt pool and a staff at your service 24 hours a day. For the food: before arriving we asked you WHAT and HOW you prefer to eat, you did not tell us you want to eat without salt, otherwise we would have done what you prefer, as we have always done with all our guests. Finally: why did you fail to mention in your review that we booked you the best restaurant in the area for two (out of three) dinners? No, we Do you think it was to be nice to you? No, we do'nt was nice to you. In fact, when one of our guests is very very very rude to our very kind staff, we prefer that he goes elsewhere, even at the cost of losing money, as in fact happened with you. Thanks anyway, every contribution from our guests always teaches us something.

I just returned from 2 nights at Casa Fabbrini - a slice of paradise in Tuscany. The owners, Paula and Giorgio, go above and beyond to make your stay pleasant and fun. Paula is a world class baker - and she's up early each day baking fresh cakes and pastries. Giorgio supervises the cooking of a delicious and fresh meal every night. All the guests eat together and you get to meet cool people from all over the world. There are lots of little four legged creatures running around too. The staff is nice and helpful. Thank you Rowan for all your help! The rooms are nicely furnished and appointed and clean. The grounds are well kept and the pool is great. The surroundings are gorgeous - I had a beautiful walk every morning. Grazie to Paula for all you do. We hope to come back one day!

Our family stay at Casa Fabrini was idyllic. The grounds, the rooms, the pool, the eating areas are beautiful. Paola and Giorgio are wonderful and accommodating hosts. Each meal provided a variety of Tuscan choices. It was a pleasure to sit with a small group of guests from different countries. The hotel's location offered opportunities for many day trips to both well know cites and small less touristy towns. The town of San Casciano dei Bagni is charming.

I am a travel advisor and I hate trip advisor and I never write reviews, but I know folks do sometimes read these and I just had to share how amazing Paola and Giorgio are — this place is SO SPECIAL. I do not even want to spoil it. if you want an authentic Italian experience, this is it. They will welcome you into their home, you will be more relaxed than you ever have, and they will not stop feeding you. Enjoy the house wine, savor the amazing food, and please, love on those sweet puppies!

Galeotto was the dachshund! This is what happened regarding our stay experience. Searching the web we were looking for a particular place that could give us emotions to remember. Among the many sites, "Casa Fabbrini" opens, which has a dachshund as its logo that guides you through the photos of the panoramas of the Val d'Orcia... right among these sweet valleys there is this wonderful location. For us it was a real nest, where we were welcomed by a warm and welcoming atmosphere like at home. This is where we left the whole world out to dedicate ourselves only to us. The refined and comfortable sleeping area offers a warm environment and pampered us, enveloping us in every detail. A peek from the windows to admire the greenery of the gardens, harmonious and well-kept, like the park that surrounds and merges with the structures and tells us about the time that has passed in that place and you feel part of it without having done anything... like when as children you receive unexpected gifts... and again when you smell a magical buffet with hot baked desserts and much more to enjoy a princely breakfast... Going out to visit neighboring areas and S. Casciano dei Bagni, along the way,
we encounter breathtaking views where valleys and hills alternate with vineyards painted by nature. The state of well-being increased when al
on our return we were welcomed by the collaborators of Casa Fabbrini, a team that moves in harmony and collaboration who made us enjoy an original homemade aperitif and then at the table, where we always eat as if on a day of celebration. From the kitchen come traditional local dishes, made with a passion that leaves nothing to chance, as in a gourmet kitchen. An excellent house wine, which binds and enhances the fantastic masterfully prepared Tuscan soups. What else to say? simply that everything was to our liking. We will definitely return for family events, because we will not forget the magic of feeling part of this house. A special thanks to Paola and Giorgio who created and shared “Casa Fabbrini” with their hearts.

It's a magical place! It's home but at the same time it's outside of reality! Halfway between Tuscany and Umbria you arrive and are catapulted into a world of greenery, nature, excellent food and very friendly people with a smile always ready to make your stay perfect! You can relax in the swimming pool (wonderful) or in the various points located throughout the immense property! Super welcoming rooms, dream breakfast with magnificent cakes baked every morning by Paola the owner, not to mention dinner all together after an aperitif you can taste Paola and Giorgio's impeccable cuisine of the highest quality! For families and couples but also for those who have need to find himself again... my girls fell in love with the dachshunds and Margot who roamed freely around the house, very sweet and very polite! Nice nice! Highly recommended!

This was our second stay at Casa Fabbrini and it did not disappoint. Paola and Giorgio, the staff and the dogs all greeted us warmly when we arrived just prior to dinner.
At 8P they served Prosecco and light appetizers and promptly at 8:30P dinner started. The usual feast starting with pasta, then a meat dish and finally dessert.
Breakfast begins at 8A with a cappuccino (the best ever) and assorted pastries (made fresh daily by Paola) and jams and butter. This is the daily routine at Casa Fabbrini. So my review is food centric. Why not! Staying at Casa Fabbrini really is like staying at someone's house. Depending on your age it is your mother, your grandmother, your aunt/uncle. The Casa Fabbrini team does not disappoint at all. Each day you return from site-seeing you are greeted by the dogs and the team.

The location is so central too. You are in southern Tuscany. 90 minutes north gets you in to Florence and south gets you to Assisi and more. There are so many small towns/villages (Cetona, San Casciagno, Monteleone d'Orvieto, Fabro & more) that all offer a different take on the area. Both the Tuscan and Umbria areas are beautiful, offer wonderful restaurants from mom & pop to Michelin. Casa Fabbrini is at the heart of all this. The rooms are comfortable and the grounds are beautiful and offer a nice walk before or after dinner. Summers are spectacular. Certainly worth the visit.

It's remote. Either rent a car or hire a driver. During our stay, a couple of ladies had an itinerary which included a driver who picked them up daily. Suggestion: try to take in a truffle hunting day.
