It was quite simply magical. Paola & Georgio are just the most amazing people, and welcome you with open arms into their beautiful home. Comfortable, relaxing, beautiful fresh, home cooked food. We didn't want to leave.

I came with my family and Paola and Giorgio plus all the staff were so friendly and welcoming. The food was consistently excellent esp the cappuccino and of course all the homemade pasta! My mom does not like pasta and she finished all her plates! The kids went to Rome and Florence and their experience in Tuscany was by far their favorite because of Casa Fabbrini, our home away from home.

This was our second stay at Casa Fabbrini and it did not disappoint. Paola and Giorgio, the staff and the dogs all greeted us warmly when we arrived just prior to dinner. At 8P they served Prosecco and light appetizers and promptly at 8:30P dinner started. The usual feast starting with pasta, then a meat dish and finally dessert. Breakfast begins at 8A with a cappuccino (the best ever) and assorted pastries (made fresh daily by Paola) and jams and butter. This is the daily routine at Casa Fabbrini. So my review is food centric. Why not! Staying at Casa Fabbrini really is like staying at someone's house. Depending on your age it is your mother, your grandmother, your aunt/uncle. The Casa Fabbrini team does not disappoint at all. Each day you return from site-seeing you are greeted by the dogs and the team. The location is so central too. You are in southern Tuscany. 90 minutes north gets you in to Florence and south gets you to Assisi and more. There are so many small towns/villages (Cetona, San Casciagno, Monteleone d'Orvieto, Fabro & more) that all offer a different take on the area. Both the Tuscan and Umbria areas are beautiful, offer wonderful restaurants from mom & pop to Michelin. Casa Fabbrini is at the heart of all this. The rooms are comfortable and the grounds are beautiful and offer a nice walk before or after dinner. Summers are spectacular. Certainly worth the visit.

It was an excellent experience. Very nice people and service. The dinners provided by the family were so so good. We had the best pasta Bolognese here. The house and gardens are beautiful. The only negative is that the pool was very cold. We will happily stay here again in the future

We just spent a wonderful 10 nights at Casa Fabbrini with our 2 small children and their grandparents! The room (in the house adjacent to the main building) was just right for our little family of 4 -- with a crib for our 5 month-old and cot for our 4 year-old, plus large bathroom with shower and clawfoot bath. The grandparents stayed in the room next door. The house oozed charm -- the perfect mix of traditional with modern touches. And the grounds are gorgeous... a nice grassy lawn with a big shady tree overlooking the vines... a large lap pool with a beautiful view of the nearby town (church bells ringing in the distance). Plus lots of little places to cozy up with a book (not that we did much of that with 2 kids!) The hosts Paola and Giorgio were very warm -- you really felt that sense of hospitality, as if you were guests of their own home (which I think you are and that they do live onsite!). A breakfast of various cakes, yogurt, fruit, meat and cheese... as well as delicious dinner -- light apertivo, family-style pasta, second course buffet of a meat/vegetables/salad, and fruit or cake dessert... all topped off with a selection of their homemade cordials -- was included. You could also opt to stay for lunch. The food was simple and un-fussy, but fresh and delicious. Since dinner began later (around 8:30), they prepared something for our child to eat at 7:30 (pasta with butter or tomato sauce, chicken breast, a vegetable -- flexible per our request). That was nice so that we could put the kids to bed and enjoy a relaxing meal as adults. Everyone on staff were so nice and helpful with anything we needed. Overall it was an amazing week! One thing I will note is that while the Casa is child-friendly and everyone was very welcoming and accommodating to us, there is a peaceful vibe to the place. Even in the pool area, we were conscious of not being too noisy to others relaxing nearby. That being said, there was another family of slightly older children that overlapped with our stay, which was nice because they got along so well with our son, and it also made it feel like we weren't the only guests with kiddos! You won't regret staying here! Thank you Paola and Giorgio and the entire staff -- we will surely be back!

Our family stay at Casa Fabrini was idyllic. The grounds, the rooms, the pool, the eating areas are beautiful. Paola and Giorgio are wonderful and accommodating hosts. Each meal provided a variety of Tuscan choices. It was a pleasure to sit with a small group of guests from different countries. The hotel's location offered opportunities for many day trips to both well know cites and small less touristy towns. The town of San Casciano dei Bagni is charming.

We had the most amazing stay at Casa Fabrini. The location is amazing, with beautiful views and plenty space to relax. We enjoyed the pool and outdoor spaces. Paula is the perfect host and made us feel like part of the family and so welcome. Food was amazing and the other guests were great company. We could recommend a better place to stay in Tuscany.

We had a nice stay at Casa Fabbrini and the kitchen staff is lovely. However, we have had a horrendous experience with the management team. We had issues with a refund of a booking and Casa Fabbrini has been evasive and made false promises on site that they would help us resolve it and it will be no problem. We didn’t hear from the insurance company and neither did we hear back from the management team once we left the premises. We also received passive aggressive and ageist emails from the owner Paula. This left a sad ending to our Italy trip. This place was recommended from close family friends who have stayed here for years. Sadly we will never stay here again and cannot recommend this to anyone.

Response from Paola Fabbrini, Direttore generale at Casa Fabbrini Val D'Orcia
Responded Aug 29, 2022
sftraveltips We are truly amazed by his words. We remember your story perfectly which dates back to the first days of May 22. Remember you have booked a holiday on other dates with the non-refundable and non-modifiable clause? Do you remember why you chose this option? Remember you preferred a 10% discount and an insurance policy totally included in the price? After two years of Covid, Casa Fabbrini offers its guests the opportunity to book with completely free insurance coverage within the holiday price which guarantees reimbursement of up to 100% in the event of events that have canceled the holiday. Of course, as in any policy, the insurance companies cover specific damages and events, which are very well listed in a policy that you have read and signed at the time of booking. In addition, immediately after payment and activation of the policy, the Insurance Company has sent you a second form on which to write down the exact details of the participants in the holiday in order to ensure peace of mind and protection for all components of the trip. Remember what happened instead? You have changed the dates of your arrival and departure 3 times in full autonomy without informing the Insurance Company and without asking us at least for advice on the possibility of doing so. We in good faith thought you were authorized by them. Remember that you have not filled out the Insurance Form with your data and that you only noticed this lack after your return home? When you decided to shorten your holiday by a couple of days, we reassured you about the possible reimbursement request from the Insurance if the reasons for the cancellation had occurred according to the terms and insurance rules. How could we have thought otherwise? Finally, as regards my "aggressive" response, please remember the number of daily phone calls at any time of the night and day, the number of emails and the number of messages on whatsapp with which you have persecuted us with a request for refund that we could not in any way recognize. We are not an insurance company, above all they are not YOUR insurance company, we are a farm that deals only with accommodation. For this reason, from the moment you choose to take out an insurance policy, from that moment on, any motivation regarding the total or partial cancellation of your trip is the sole responsibility of two subjects: the Insurance and the Insured. We are very sorry that you have not received the refund even from your credit card manager to whom you have entrusted a dispute against us. Evidently there were no conditions to recognize the opportunity. In any case we are very sorry for your negative experience. We hope this is the first step to understand that observing the rules most of the time saves lives. Paola Fabbrini
