The Building is very nice but not easy to find. There are no signs at the road (maybe a 50€ invest). Rooms are ok but IKEA interior is partially seen, that has absolutely nothing to do with four stars. The staff is with only one exception absolutely unfriendly and likes to talk and smoke together but not to ask the customer if everything is ok. Hand desinfection is more important than kindness.
Dinner was so terrible - answer from the staff was that they are very proud of their kitchen and recipes. I don't care about that when you get 150g Pasta for the first course and then meat which is way too salty. This is no typical italian or tuscan kitchen, it is just bad and arrogant behaviour. Please go somewhere else where the owner works at the site but not in that overrated house where just the staff is present and the owner just wait for the money that the tourists leave here.
we encounter breathtaking views where valleys and hills alternate with vineyards painted by nature. The state of well-being increased when al
on our return we were welcomed by the collaborators of Casa Fabbrini, a team that moves in harmony and collaboration who made us enjoy an original homemade aperitif and then at the table, where we always eat as if on a day of celebration. From the kitchen come traditional local dishes, made with a passion that leaves nothing to chance, as in a gourmet kitchen. An excellent house wine, which binds and enhances the fantastic masterfully prepared Tuscan soups. What else to say? simply that everything was to our liking. We will definitely return for family events, because we will not forget the magic of feeling part of this house. A special thanks to Paola and Giorgio who created and shared “Casa Fabbrini” with their hearts.
At 8P they served Prosecco and light appetizers and promptly at 8:30P dinner started. The usual feast starting with pasta, then a meat dish and finally dessert.
Breakfast begins at 8A with a cappuccino (the best ever) and assorted pastries (made fresh daily by Paola) and jams and butter. This is the daily routine at Casa Fabbrini. So my review is food centric. Why not! Staying at Casa Fabbrini really is like staying at someone's house. Depending on your age it is your mother, your grandmother, your aunt/uncle. The Casa Fabbrini team does not disappoint at all. Each day you return from site-seeing you are greeted by the dogs and the team.
The location is so central too. You are in southern Tuscany. 90 minutes north gets you in to Florence and south gets you to Assisi and more. There are so many small towns/villages (Cetona, San Casciagno, Monteleone d'Orvieto, Fabro & more) that all offer a different take on the area. Both the Tuscan and Umbria areas are beautiful, offer wonderful restaurants from mom & pop to Michelin. Casa Fabbrini is at the heart of all this. The rooms are comfortable and the grounds are beautiful and offer a nice walk before or after dinner. Summers are spectacular. Certainly worth the visit.
"The whole place has been very well designed, our room had a welcome bathtub, I’m sure all the other rooms were as nice. "Read full review
"Open the windows...you'll hear the church bells in the nearby villages and the soft raking of leaves by a kind Italian gentleman. "Read full review
