We stayed for 3 nights over Easter and used Hotel La Meridiana as a base for exploring the surrounding area. We had hired bikes at "Biking Team" in Arezzo and cycled to the hotel (30km). We sent an email to the hotel in Italian using Google translate and they confirmed we could store our 2 bikes safely overnight at the...

I really enjoyed this hotel and the wonderful people who run it. One of the staff, when I asked for directions, walked me outside and to the corner so she could point me in the right way. It definitely has a family feel. Location is wonderful, just outside a gate into the old city. The room was comfortable. Meals were...

Stayed at La Meridiana for 10 days with a group. The hotel was in a perfect location in Anghiari. The room was small but comfortable, clean and with T.V. Breakfast was excellent. The owners who are a brother and sister were attentive to all needs. I would definitely stay here again.

We were a small group of about 11 people on tour and stayed here for 9 days. The staff was very friendly and helpful (they can't speak much english, but we managed). Rooms are clean and they have an elevator which is a plus! The restaurant is very good and they location is very convienient to the town center and...

We booked at La Meridiana because the only other hotel failed to respond to my e-mail which turned out to be fortunate as the other one is out of town at the foot of a steep hill. Meridiana’s location is perfect, on the edge of this beautiful historic fortified hill town, with views over pantiled roofs and across the Tiber...

Located just outside the walls of the small hilltop medieval town, La Meridiana is a fine stop on the Piero della Francesca Trail--just a few minutes from Sansepulcro and Monterchi. Right-at-the-door parking is available (if you're lucky) except on Wednesday morning, when the traveling markets sets up in the little square by the hotel. Restaurants are within a short (but...

A small hotel in the very heart of the ancient medival village. Helpful staff. Fine food. Your HDQ for village adventuring. [Ask for Room 321. It is the grande room with its own terrace overlooking the walled village of Anghiari.]

The hotel provided us with a lovely quiet base from which to explore Anghiara. We were slap bang in the middle of the historical town centre, overlooking the old theatre and were one minute's walk from the old town square. Basic, simple, clean and very friendly - a real one to return to but perhaps not with children. Internet only...

Hotel La Meridiana claims three stars- a stretch! It is very well located close to the centre of this wonderful historic hill town near Sansepolcro. It would have been refurbished about tweny years ago and is pretty tired- yet there is very little choice in the town. I had the smallest single room I have ever seen, barely room for...

“Room 222--a double suite--has a truly fabulous view. From the sit-in balcony you can look over the Anghiari battlefield (1505 and the subject of a lost Leonardo painting) in the valley below and, also, of the entire walled medieval town.”
