From the start to the finish, this trip was absolutely what we needed. The location - perfect! The staff were AMAZING! nothing was too much, and they were extremely kind, welcoming, and did their best to make sure we had a great trip. The reception staff, AWESOME!! Maria from the Spa, every spa should have a Maria, she was excellent! Pool restaurant manager (glasses, brown hair) really really lovely! Food was great, the room was great, the service second to none. We had to leave two days early due to the incoming storm, but everyone went out of their way to ensure we managed to get back to the mainland, we were extremely sad to leave. 5- star service all the way even in difficult times such as Covid, this is not an easy moment for hotels or staff, and I think we as guests should recognise, how hard they are all working to ensure we have a great trip. They cannot control the weather, the virus, or the restrictions in place by the laws, but they managed it all with a smile and they deserved to be recognised for this by all the guests, a thank you goes a long way. Thank you to everyone who made this a perfect trip The Franks

Like many, after this difficult year we needed to get away knowing that we had a guaranteed luxury, relaxing experience - there was only one choice. Perfect idyllic get-away, stunning location, great staff and delicious food. Our sea-view room had a hot tub and the most amazing views across to Lipari. My wife and I agreed that this is a place to keep coming back to for a few days each year. OK so the journey via Palermo takes a couple of hours and then the hydrofoil, but all part of the experience! Therasia is a 10/10 favourite for sure.

Visiting the island of Vulcano is a must every year and the Therasia Resort is always part of the plan. Coming back this year I have done: 1) spa, 2) Russuri terrace and restaurant, 3) Cappero restaurant. At the Spa, Maria fixed in two sessions a severe contraction of the lower limbs coming from too much wakeboarding at sunset during the whole summer - I am not so young any longer unfortunately. At the spa I also bought the most amazing swimming suit and pareo. Graziano at Russuri always gave me the best advices which led me to taste the best pasta of the year: he has been there for many years and “you just need to ask him what to eat and drink: I never regret asking him for advice in the last 3-5 years. The Cappero restaurant does not need any introduction as it is an international attraction for those of us with a sensibly sofisticate palate. Careful because it is always fully booked and you are lucky if you find a space to sit: the evening becomes magic and the education you gain every time is for a life time. We usually book well in advance to make sure we can have at least one night there: when sitting at Cappero with my wife.... we go back a long way, and I can’t think of any better evening with her - after spending my summer in Lio and Hart in Ibiza - and using Zuma in London as our usual. This is another level of experience: much better, you can’t miss it. I am sure the consolidation of this service comes with the most experienced direction and I am very grateful to Mr Trani for always being there for us. I read his style as “think big, plan even better and behave simple” type of approach. This is to me a transparent justification as why Therasia is the best I can get: I can touch the sea with a finger stretch, I live the most stunning view in the Mediterranean sea and meanwhile I can also get anything I wish, but without needing to do much to get it: it will just come straight to my hand and from the most experienced and elegant member of staff. At Therasia education and culture lead the way to luxury and heath: I can’t gather any better combination for a magic summer holiday with my wife.

PROS: the grounds are beautiful, pools and sunset views absolutely stunning, the shuttle is very useful. The reception staff were very helpful. CONS: our room was dark (the garden view room), the service at the bar is ridiculously slow (expect to wait an hour for two drinks), the complimentary mini bar is a nice idea but only includes water and peach juice (why not include something more interesting?!), the food at the main restaurant was average with no real vegan restaurants - at a five star resort with international guests I would expect more modern and interesting food.

Dear Lilyrose75, thank you for your choosing Therasia resort sea & spa for your stay on the Aeolians Island and we are so happy to your positive feedback on the grounds, location, shuttle service and on the reception staff. On the other hand we are so sorry to read some aspect of your stay didn't match your expectation. Your room number was 220, and we remind you that you had requested for a brighter room, because in your opinion the room you have see on our website was different, but as we said the picture for the superior room on our website are from the number 220. In any case we offered the possibility to see other room but you didn’t want and you preferred to stay in it. Regarding the vegetarian proposal from our restaurant we have many and gluten free to, if you remember we served a veggy gluten free pizza for you and also we having a Vegetarian restaurant in our resort where you had a dinner. As for the free minibar, inside you can find: 2 bottles of sparkling water, 2 natural bottles, 2 fruit juices, 2 typical Sicilian carbonated drinks and in addition also 2 large bottles at room temperature on the desk. We also absolutely offer the possibility of free daily replacement and additionally for a fee, supply it with anything you need. We remain at your disposal for any further information. Kind regards

We had a fantastic stay at the Therasia Resort. The grounds and view are simply stunning. The staff was incredibly helpful, Michelle was key in organizing our excursions for the week. We did the tasting menu in the restaurant Il Cappero, it was delicious! They modified some of the dishes as I prefer a vegetarian menu. The shuttle to the port works well and is very convenient. The room was well appointed, however, the King size bed was too hard for our liking, however, this was remedy by the front desk who requested to add a pillow top which made the bed very comfortable. The fridge in the room is complementary and refilled every day which is so convenient. Thank you all for a wonderful stay!
