Had a great stay at Hippocampus. Hotel very clean and staff are super friendly. We ate at the hotel and food was delicious. Rooms cleaned to a high standard. Used the pool at Velon which has amazing views. Thank you to all staff at Hippocampus.
Rooms are very clean and comfortable with big balcony and magic views. Staff are very friendly and helpful, nothing is a problem. The hotel is perfectly situated for visits to Nouassa, kolyembrethes and nearby beaches. They serve a very nice continental breakfast with a smile every morning.
we have just returned from a 2 week stay and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I will start with the small negatives - if you have mobility issues this hotel is not for you as there are steps everywhere (no ramps anywhere)we counted 80+ from where we were dropped off to our room. The only other issue is that there are parts of the hotel that need to be tidied up(I think the building trade call it snagging) Now for the positives - the hotel is in a really good location on the edge of Naoussa with breathtaking views over the bay. The hotel boasts that every room has a sea view and good sized balconies. Rooms are a really good size and good functional bathroom which were kept spotlessly clean.A really nice touch was 2 small bottles of wine and pot of nuts as a welcome.Breakfast was fine but only continental, however everything was very tasty and well presented and such a lovely setting .There is a bar which is only open between 6pm-11.00pm. All the staff were very helpful and hard working and nothing was too much trouble. There is ample parking on site. The closest supermarket is a 5 min walk, bars and restaurants are also close and there is a lovely bakery just outside the front entrance of the hotel. Closest beach is a 5-10 min walk. To conclude we were in room 411 which was in the highest block of the hotel - spectacular views, nice and quiet and convenient to the breakfast room and car park.Thank you once again to the staff for their hard work and helpfulness…
Good location near Naousa, nice view, parking available. However, the facilities are extremely old and outdated. The room is like a container with no brick walls (see photo attached). As a result, you can hear everything from the corridor and other rooms. Moreover, light enters the room from the corridor as there is glass below the ceiling instead of a wall. Breakfast is just basic. The cleaning of the room was insufficient, we were always the last room to be cleaned late in the afternoon and had to ask the cleaning lady to come on many occasions. Overall, decent for youngsters as it is more like a hostel and not value for money in any case. The hotel needs a serious refurbishment or to lower their prices.
Stayed here for 3 nights. Very clean, beds were comfy, and air conditioning worked well. Hotel doesn’t serve food, but is a 15 minute walk to town. My only complaint is that there were windows between the doors and the ceiling; this meant that extra light came in at night. Overall great hotel for the price, very satisfied!
I was pretty happy with my stay at Hippocampus. Clean room, nice balcony with great view, calm and cozy feeling. The staff was happy and polite, always ready to help. Breakfast was tasty. Good value for money.
We loved our trip to Paros and this hotel was perfect! We had a family suite with balconies and great views. The hotel was charming and clean and the staff was amazing! The most welcoming and friendly place we stayed during our Europe vacation.
We loved this older style Budget hotel it had everything we could need. A small beach across the road. A ten minute walk into Naoussa. Fabulous customer service and a decent breakfast. Great balcony to watch the beautiful sunset 🌅 a bus stop across the road and views that are breathtaking. It is not a five star hotel but if you are looking for reasonable value just out of town this hotel is for you. Only thing I would have liked is an exhaust vent in the bathroom. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.
From port to hotel either bus (which ran infrequently when we were there) or €17 taxi. Staff exceptionally helpful. Breakfast delightful fresh continental style, fruit salad, yogurt and some cakes and pastries. 15 min walk to centre of Naousa. A little isolated from eateries but they can organise food delivery! Bus stop outside buy ticket on bus or from ticket office in Parika. Beach towels available complimentary. Terrace has bar available from 6 pm. Here you can relax anytime and soak in the beautiful views. Good value.
The Christopoulos family own and manage this pleasant hotel; the atmosphere is relaxed and the amenities offered are good. The hotel rooms are clean, comfortable and contain all the basic creature comforts one requires during an Aegean summer break. The establishment is a five minute walk from the centre of Naoussa village which is within the Goldilocks zone (neither too far or too close) and therefore free of the usual late evening noise that the closeness to an evening venue can sometimes bring. The architectural style of the hotel is a real treat for those interested in building design, the structure is a ziggurat form in the brutalist style set back into the side of the Caldera (which is the bay of Naoussa). This unique building and the views of the bay offered by all areas of the hotel are one of the main reasons I return year after year; that and the natural beauty of northern Paros, from the fishing village of Naoussa to the unspoilt beaches, the wonderfully fresh sea food and the friendliness of the Parian Greeks. I am from the Euro zone and find prices very reasonable, if slightly lower than those at home. I would highly recommend this venue for a relaxed, friendly and sophisticated European holiday.…
