hotel in the right area for Witten activities.....good restaurant and bar.... ..but unfortunately you go in a hotel to sleep and have some shower and rest but not to have a dinner or taking a drink.. so at end of the story hotel looks to be old and bad maintaned....it smell.of old and dusty.... it is a sin because breakfast is served in a magnificent view terrace....
Rom was spacious and clean with a small bathroom. The hotel is situated on the edge of the park area and the area is very quiet and in waking distance of the city center and the river. The hotel restaurant has a pretty 'standard' German meny so do not expect any culinary surprises but the food served is well prepared and tasty and I ended up eating here during my stay.
Very nice hotel. Good location, room with balcony in an urban park setting. Swimming pool indoors plus an excellent breakfast in a panoramic breakfast room. Friendly staff in the hotel and also nice people in the town. Good stop on the cycle path, which runs only a few hundred metres from the hotel. Thanks to the hotel team.
Big hotel which is maintained quite well. Rooms were clean and breakfast was ok. There is a quite much parking space in hotel area which is helpful if you arrive by car. I I think room price was bit high but hotel was still quite full. There are not so many big hotels in this area.
I love this hotel. The staff are what make it so great: friendly, efficient, helpful. They go the extra mile. Reception open 24 hrs/day. Big rooms and bathrooms with shower and bath. Comfortable beds. Lavish and tasty breakfast. Pet friendly. The only drawbacks are no A/C and no English news channels on th TV but free and good WiFi
They offer a very good breakfast and the service was OK. Next time I will try to stay somewhere with AC, is ok if the weather is cold, but in winter time is terrible! The town is nice, and there is a park in the back of the hotel so higher floors has better views
I spent here a couple of days for work. It is an ancient hotel... Not very welcoming. Anyway, room was comfortable and quite clean. Poor quality breakfast. Problems with POS. It was necessary to change 3 credit cards before managing to pay!!! One of these was blocked at the end, for wrong PIN after 3 attempts (???). Bad experience.
This is a fine property. Not fancy, but more than adequate. Rooms are large and clean. Beds are comfortable. Wifi is free. Breakfast has many options and is abundant. The view from the 9th floor restaurant is very pleasant. All in all a good choice in Witten
I stayed here just before Christmas whilst on a business trip. The staff were very friendly and efficient, spoke good English and pretended to understand my German. The room was huge with room to work, relax and sleep. It had a balcony, which had views over the busy railway, which for me was not a problem, but in summer the frequent freight trains could become annoying. Food in the restaurant was also good, and I can also recommend the cakes and coffee in the roof cafe. Good value too.
I spent here 7 days. I was part of the bigger group. Room was very spacious, enough place for more than two people. We had breakfast, offer was average. I found one longer hair in the jam. Dinner was excellent, usually 3 different meals, few varieties of salat and sweets.
