I love this hotel. The staff are what make it so great: friendly, efficient, helpful. They go the extra mile. Reception open 24 hrs/day. Big rooms and bathrooms with shower and bath. Comfortable beds. Lavish and tasty breakfast. Pet friendly. The only drawbacks are no A/C and no English news channels on th TV but free and good WiFi

They offer a very good breakfast and the service was OK. Next time I will try to stay somewhere with AC, is ok if the weather is cold, but in winter time is terrible! The town is nice, and there is a park in the back of the hotel so higher floors has better views

I spent here a couple of days for work. It is an ancient hotel... Not very welcoming. Anyway, room was comfortable and quite clean. Poor quality breakfast. Problems with POS. It was necessary to change 3 credit cards before managing to pay!!! One of these was blocked at the end, for wrong PIN after 3 attempts (???). Bad experience.

This is a fine property. Not fancy, but more than adequate. Rooms are large and clean. Beds are comfortable. Wifi is free. Breakfast has many options and is abundant. The view from the 9th floor restaurant is very pleasant. All in all a good choice in Witten

I stayed here just before Christmas whilst on a business trip. The staff were very friendly and efficient, spoke good English and pretended to understand my German. The room was huge with room to work, relax and sleep. It had a balcony, which had views over the busy railway, which for me was not a problem, but in summer the... More

I spent here 7 days. I was part of the bigger group. Room was very spacious, enough place for more than two people. We had breakfast, offer was average. I found one longer hair in the jam. Dinner was excellent, usually 3 different meals, few varieties of salat and sweets.

I had read reviews that kept mentioning the train lines running right next to the hotel and the noises associated with it. I barely ever heard the trains going by, only when the window was open. The room was very clean and spacious with a huge wall unit closet, fridge, safe, desk, balcony and separate little entrance area with a... More

Very nice hotel to stay in ,my room was about the size of a suite in comparison to other rooms in other hotels, mini bar was well stocked with just about everything and cheaply priced, evening meal in the restaurant was well presented and very tasty, Beds were cosy

Big rooms, view from breakfast restaurant, indoor swimmingpool and next to the city center I have spent a large number of nights here. I work in Witten, and I have found this hotel very convenient. It takes me from the hotel less than 15 minutes to Dortmund, Bochum or Hagen, or less than 30 minutes from Essen. The surroundings are... More

Pros: The staff is always very friendly and the view on the terrace on top is great at breakfast. There is a swimming pool. Rooms are tidy and large. Free-wifi Parking: 1 Euro per day if you choose to put the car inside, outside is for free Cons: The television in the room was very old, small and with no... More

“Most rooms have balcony and minibars. But you should be aware of the noise from the trains at night when staying in rooms at one side of the hotel. Ask for a bathrobe if you plan to go to the swimming pool.”
