An historic hotel building dating back to the 16th Century. Rooms adequate but no frills. Location great for town and staff really helpful. Major downside is no parking but that applies to most hotels in the town.

We stayed here for a night with a toddler. The hotel itself is nice and retro but the service is under par. The lady who manages the hotel seems really racist which she treated us very impolitely but her behavior changed completely when serving the German customers, although we spoke even German to her. Take this into account if you...

We spent one night here for the Monschau Christmas markets. My parents had a suite with jacuzzi bath. This was a really large room with some of the original wattle and daub roof exposed as a feature in the room. We had the room next door (33) which was a little dated but also huge with a sitting area and...

We stayed here for 2 nights for the christmas market. The hotel was very central in the town, being one road back from the main road. This meant it was easy to pop back during the day but still quiet. The owner who checked us in and served breakfast was very abrupt and not very friendly. She spoke little english,...

We have been in the hotel for four nights. It was exceptionally clean, nice room, quite basic but in the end: what do you need more? The only little thing we missed was free WiFi, but there are plenty places in Monchau where you can check your email, Facebook or whatever you like on free WiFi. Breakfast is good, fresh...

Very pleasant room, comfortable beds. Bathroom rather small but clean with plenty of hot water and perfectly acceptable. An above average buffet breakfast with nice touches (eg attractive china, personal pot of coffee) in a very attractively decorated cellar room. A few reviews suggest the owners are less than friendly. Not true, in my experience. They were pleasant, friendly and...

Don't follow your SatNav to the hotel once you reach the town or else you will be taken down very narrow cobbled roads (not a lot wider than a path!). No parking at the hotel, use one of the town car parks (7€ a day). Hotel had lots of character, felt a little dated, but beds were fairly comfortable. Our...

We stayed here for 2 nights (1 adult and 2 children). The owner gave us a warm welcome and provide helpful tips for our visit. We rented a garage that belonged to the hotel, which made life a lot easier knowing that most of the roads in Monschau are one way traffic and very narrow and busy. The rooms and...

An historic building but clean and comfortable. Very close to town centre. Warmly welcomed and had an understandably small but comfortable room. Warm water; very quiet and excellent breakfast. A difficult town to park in but the sparcity of vehicles adds to its charm. A good hotel in s superb location.

Stayed as part of a motorcycle tour. In old part of town with vehicle restrictions so we just opted to park in Burghaus public car park which has a canopy for motorcycles. A five to ten minute walk with bags so not for everyone. We enquired and a 7 euro daily charge applies to bikes too. Hotel wonderfully old and...
