First, location: Göhren is really small and quiet. In off-season, way too quiet: you'll have troubles finding a decent restaurant, none accepted cards (cash only). I rather recommend Binz or Selling. Rooms: outdated. For a 4*, it should require a freshening up. The pictures on booking.com were rather deceiving, the ones on tripadvisor are more realistic. Breakfast: very wide choice,...

My husband I spent three nights vacationing at the Hanseatic Rugen und Villen, and it was a good experience considering the price (which was likely discounted because March is still pretty low season for Rugen). We were looking for a decent hotel with a pool to relax at, and the Hanseatic Rugen certainly was good for this. The room was...

We were staying for two nights during winter off season for some days off wellness and exploring the surroundings of Gohren. The hotel is easy to find by car and there is hotel parking available - even though it costs 4 euro for hotel guests. The location is very good and from the hotel own tower café you have a...

This hotel was WONDERFUL and,if we ever went back to Rugen Island this is where I would stay for a week....The staff went out of their way to make you feel comfortable...the rooms were spacious, clean and very modern..The pool was beautiful and the breakfast was out of this world. There are two different beaches to walk. We preferred the...

Travelled to the very pleasant town of Gohren by steam train from Binz and happened upon the Hanseatic by recommendation of the tourist office of the stunning views from the hotels tower cafe, ideal for coffee and cake and open to non-residents. Took a light lunch which was delicious with very friendly service and although not actually experiencing an actual...

All things are very good: staff, breakfast, sleep quality, bathrobes, cleanness. Amazing thing are the sauna with sea view and 5km-long beach with fine sand starting in 200m. Local transport is not bad, as for countryside, but highly recommend to come with a car or use taxi for real vacation feeling on Ruegen.

This hotel is in one of Ruegen's prettiest seaside resorts. Ideally situated on a narrow bit of the island, the hotel has views of the sea on two sides. And even if you don't have a room with a view, the hotel's very own viewing tower is open to all and has amazing views. It's only open from 8am, so...

Nice location and view. Very friendly staff- lobby and bar. House keeping- biggest disaster. While working - very loud, but rooms cleaned very badly, left dirty. Sound insolation between the rooms poor, if your neighbor is early bird, you'll be too.

Came across the most friendly service in this hotel. Recommend their sea view room- huge terrace, great view! Given most of the restaurants around are a bit tourist focused, we ate in the hotel restaurant for dinner and it turns out to be a most pleasure experience that we feel compelled to come back next time!

One thing that's perfect with this hotel is the view. Sunset from the room with an ocean view was great. Location is also nice, the hotel stands on a hill overlooking a small town. Communicating in english was a bit difficult in the hotel and in the village. Breakfast was good and the breakfast room was nice and large. I...

“The "Comfort Rooms" / "Komfotzimmer" come with their own mini-kitchen. That's very handy if you are staying more than just a few nights and don't fancy eating out each evening. The kitchens come equipped with everything you need, so splash out on one of these rooms if you'd like a little independence when it comes to having dinner.”
