Very nice, rustic, family-run hotel in the middle of the city center.
The beautiful inner courtyard is a real oasis!
Our room faced the inner courtyard. The room is large, a bit older, but with good beds. We slept wonderfully! The air conditioning was also very pleasant and quiet. Finally one that doesn't blow onto the bed!
The reception was very nice and the breakfast buffet left nothing to be desired (apart from the cream cheese).
We felt comfortable and well looked after. Our e-bikes could also be safely stored in a garage!
You can tell that there is still a family behind it! We would love to come back when we visit the area again.

Overnight stay in transit. We were actually looking for another cheaper hotel but couldn't find one. That's why I ended up here.
Very comfortable beds and down duvets. Delicious breakfast with fresh fruit. Bathroom also equipped with nail file, cotton pad, shoe polish and washcloths. Very nice.

The room I've had was way too small, but probably since hotel was full I didn't get anything better. Bathroom was also very tight with shower cabin. Since the hotel is in old winery which looks like a tiny castle, it's hard to speak about good soundproofing. The corridors are fool of echoes and every door clank is well heard around. Sun shades are mechanically driven so if your neighbor decides to engage them while you're sleeping you will not miss it! The bell tower nearby will kindly wake you at 6.00 whether you want it or not. Far not all personnel speaks English, so engage all your German or be patient if you need smth. Hotel parking is pretty busy but you may find a slot in hidden part. Breakfast is surprisingly good with omelette or fried eggs cooked upon your request. All in all finding a bigger room I would come back again. The location of the hotel is very convenient both for reaching with car and after dinner walk.

Dear guest, we have 6 room categories, what you describe must have been the smallest and cheapest. Please ask for a room in our hofgartenhaus next time, which are larger and very quiet. The tower bells are completely quiet from 10pm to 7:15am, where they start again with just one quarter stroke. English speaking staff is always around, sorry if not every employee does, but they can always call someone speaking english and other languages. We are glad that you enjoyed our breakfast and looking forward to seeing you again soon. Best regards The Deppisch Familiy & Staff

Super comfortable and welcoming stay at Hotel Anker. The location was great, the room spacious and well equipped with large comfortable bed. The wine shop superb and the evening meal outstanding. Breakfast in a courtyard or bright room served elegantly with excellent choice of self service options. Situated in the heart of the old town we visited the Blue House with its exhibitions and a great little pharmacy museum literally next door. We loved this hotel and Marktheidenfeld too.

We stayed here by chance on Saturday the 7th January with our 2 young children. The hotel was very quiet that evening but an excellent welcome from the receptionist was a good start and gave us confidence. We stayed in a junior suite, room 19, which was excellent and newly refurbished. The design of the bathroom was particularly good and the convertible sofa bed the most comfortable I've ever tried.

We also ate in the restaurant on the other side of the cobbled street, it was quite formal and so we were concerned that our 4 year old and baby might cause other diners upset but the staff found us a little ante room where they could be noisier without a problem. The meal we had was outstanding, the most amazing venison dumpling was divine.

Unfortunately we had a long drive the following day and so had to leave at 6am, before breakfast was served.

The receptionist had worked at the hotel for 11 years and said that it was family owned by people who really cared about their guests experience, that came over very loud and clear in the way we were looked after.

An excellent, small hotel in a charming, small riverside town. Room 15 was large, light and airy with a balcony, a desk for WiFi and a good bathroom. The restaurant food was extremely good but the portions were too large for us! We were defeated by a gourmand salad (should have known!) so that the duck ragout and veal didn't get a fair trial! We ate outside because the weather was so warm. Breakfast was also very good with nothing too much trouble for the waitress prettily dressed in Bavarian costume - eggs cooked to order. Definitely to be recommended.

Stayed for two nights for business. The owner pays attention to details and the room was very clean but too small. Did not have even a space to put my luggage so left it on the floor. The cleanless was very good and breakfast was ok. This is a good 3 star hotel.

This really is a splendid hotel. Perhaps a little too much emphasis on the owners religious conviction which may insult people not of that persuasion. With that said it was in many ways faultless including a superb breakfast.

You should really try the superb restaurant attached to the hotel. A real taste of Germany.

we decided to stay in this hotel because the town was on our way to Nuremberg. On arrival the person on the reception didn't speak a word of English buy was very helpful instead! The elevator didn't work and the heat in the room was a bit too high, but the room was nice, the mattress perfect and great water pressure. we ate at the hotel's restaurant just across the street, where the waiter, who spoke English helped us with the menu, food was delicious ! breakfast is also great, waitress was a young nice lady who also spoke English . very well served and abundant without loosing quality.
