Not far from the busy touristy towns of Bamberg and Nuremburg is Landhaus Friesen in the small village of Friesen. We stayed at hotel for four nights. The room was large, but no a/c, no fan, no breeze... in ninety degree weather. I feel the price does not match the amenities. We wanted a place to stay near Bamberg that would let us take a bike ride in the country and visit Bamberg. This little hotel turned out to be a great location. Contrary to the last review the owner could not have been more friendly or helpful. We wanted a room with Wifi. They were having problems with signal stength...

This was an absolute thrill to drive up to the Landhaus Friesen and experience what Germany is really like. The beauty, the serenity and the people made this a wonderful experience. I spent one night there and I'll definitely return. The hotel is 15min away by car from Bamberg. It's very well situated and the view ist so nice. The hotel staff was extremely helpful (they arranged excellent food for me and I arrived very very late) and the hotel is so nice. The room was not very large but nicely...
