Stayed 2 nights here. The buildings & property are gorgeous. It’s a bastide, a 19th century farm house converted to a high end vacation accommodations. You walk into this amazing kitchen and living room. Fully furnished & stocked. The rooms are extremely comfortable. Some of the rooms have a claw foot tub... there’s sufficient power points through out rooms & living areas. They have converted some of old stables etc to self contained & fully furnished apartments. The location is close to the Lourmarin villages and driving about 20-30 minutes any direction you land up at some renaissance village with castles & all. Fields of lavender & vineyards make the drive very picturesque. Fantastic location! Lots of quaint & tasty restaurants nearby. The service is excellent by the team that manage the property. Our host was Marilise and she was fabulous. Nothing was too difficult for her... I highly recommend the property & experience.

We stayed here for 7 nights. The premises has several accommodation options, we stayed in "Le Grange" - a two story, 2 bedroom barn turned into family house. The design is very pretty, but it has some draw back for a family: the master bedroom is spacious and nice, it has a bathtub and sink in an open plan setup, so you need to take a bath we no privacy... the toilet is in separate area. the other bedroom is good for 2 children, and it has a bathroom near it with a sink and shower. the toilet is the same one shared by the master bedroom. none of the showers have glass or curtains so you end up getting everything wet... The bottom floor has an excellent well equipped kitchen (open plan with a living room). it is very nice and comfortable, but lack a bit of light. The representative looking after the place was very helpful and cooperative. no food is served, so you need to prepare your own meals or go out. Location is perfect: you have a spacious country side premises with beautiful gardens and a pool, just minutes from the heart of Lourmarin which is a beautiful village with shops and restaurants. Also, the local supermarket, pharmacy and other shops are about 100 meters away.

This place is wonderful. We spent a week with 19 of our friends and family and it was perfect. The rooms are spread around the play so we had lots of privacy although we were part of a big group. Each appartment was equipped with everything you could imagine. The location was very good too.

I have just come back from staying here for 3 nights and felt I had to give a positive review. A really lovely property in the heart of the Luberon, we felt instantly relaxed here. The owner seemed very nice too, giving us a tour of the place, the key and her mobile number and leaving us to it, other than the basket of croissants and bread she left on our doorstep each morning for our breakfast. The place itself is just amazing. It's a fairly big estate with several houses dotted around it. The owner lives in one of these houses with her family and the others are rented out (although we didn't see any other guests when we were there). We were accommodated in 'Le Loft Rouge', which is a self contained house with its own kitchenette. It looks sort of like a converted barn. On a mezzanine upstairs there is a bed, television, chairs and a bathroom area with a wonderful deep bath and a shower attachment. The toilet is downstairs along with a utility room with a washing machine and separate dryer (we didn't use these but were impressed nonetheless)! We thought the house was absolutely great and nicely decorated too, but it's probably not for everyone - the mezzanine was accessible via some fairly steep steps. We found it was all good fun but if you've got mobility problems or are very scared of heights it may not be for you! We purchased our stay through a Livingsocial deal and I felt it was extremely good value for money. I'm not sure how much a stay would cost without this offer, so can't say if it's generally good value or not, but it is certainly a high standard of accommodation without being total 5 star luxury (who wants that really though? You're in Provence!). The gardens in which the house is situated are just beautiful, as is the large swimming pool with views of the countryside. We were there in October which obviously isn't the best time for the weather but I can only imagine how lovely this would be in the summer months. Lourmarin as an area I cannot recommend highly enough. I'd not heard of it before and assumed it would be much like other villages in the region, but I'd say it's a little bit more lively than many, while still keeping the relaxed Provence pace. It's full of little shops and cafes, plus a selection of high quality restaurants, yet is still so quiet and peaceful. There are plenty of places of eat out but if you do feel like cooking, there's a supermarket about 5/10 minutes drive away so you can stock up there if you wish. Bit of a shock to the system to be back in London after such a peaceful time. Overall, I'd love to come back to Lourmarin and I'd love to stay here (if I can afford it without the deal)!
