Fabulous owners have great style. Their cuisine is all-natural and usually includes ingredients from their garden. In particular, their historic garden is officially listed as a 'garden of distinction' by the French government. There's a swimming pool. The hosts (he is a world-famous photographer and she is an acclaimed stylist) are highly knowledgable of the area. It's a magical place, quiet and restful. The gardens, vineyard, orchards, and trees are of such rarity that you may encounter a solitary famous botanist or horticulturist or landscape designer studying the plants. Highly recommended. Oh and they make their own wine, Hocus Pocus.

Owned by the hospitable Bibi and Guy, with just three suites Le Pavillon de Galon offers peace, tranquillity and the utmost privacy. Breakfasts including homemade cheese, croissants, and preserves, and freshly brewed coffee start the day. The gardens are worth talking about especially if you book when the irises are blooming and a beautiful infinity pool and a mineral sourced spring pool make for a heavenly experience, private and almost all too yourself. I stayed in the grande stuite which was 40sqm with a shared kitchen.

Le Pavillon de Galon was everything we were hoping for. This was our first time in Provence and this beautiful B&B made you feel like you had just stepped into a classic French movie. Possibly one of our favourite stays in Europe to date. The fresh fruits and cheeses for breakfast were amazing, and Bibi & Guy’s hospitality helped make our stay very comfortable. The B&B is a short walk to the stunning little town of Cucuron, and is within a short distance to 3 different Michelin starred restaurant (one is a 3 star). As beautiful as it is in the pictures! Highly recommend.

At the Pavillon de Galon you can internalize the images a yoga instructor or spiritual advisor would suggest a client visualize to relax, calm your mind, and expand your consciousness. There is nothing to worry about here. The gates open and the path down the drive opens to a world of beauty and gracious hospitality. After I entered the code to open the iron portal I chose to walk down the drive dragging my hand along the rosemary between myself, the vineyards, the towering cedars and the fossil embedded border of the garden. Every sense is nourished. At the end of the drive Bibi and her dog greeted us and began the orientation to the property. My family occupied two of the suites. We had ample space to luxuriate in our individual spaces filled with beautiful fabrics, art, furniture and amenities. The open windows invites a guest to move into the comparable beauty of the garden and the property. And when you do, if you choose, you may quietly talk with another guest, settled in a comfortable spot that is right for you, perhaps a chair to watch the frog in the small pond, or a table overlooking the symmetry of the front flower beds under plane trees centuries old, a swinging chair under the majestic magnolia tree, or on a chaise next to the pool in the sun or under the trees. And after Guy has completed conversations with gardeners helping him maintain the myriad ornamental and agricultural treasures he will find you and charm you with stories of why he is compelled to share this space with guests. And these intimate conversations repeat throughout the day with both owners and other staff. All the expected services of a fine hotel are met, but the joy is in discovering what will make your experience a part of your awareness of the interconnectedness of history, passion, humans and heritage.

The gardens are truly fabulous--made even better after talking with the proprietors Bibi and Guy and learning about the loving, painstaking process of creating this magical place. We were there in mid-May when the irises were a blooming sea of blue everywhere you looked. But looking at the beautiful book they had made of the garden, every time is the right time to go. After the irises are finished, the lavender and roses bloom and the butterfly bushes explode. Our room had a lovely view of the garden, and Crystal prepared us a delicious breakfast which we ate on one of the patios bathed in sunlight. I can't wait to tell my friends about this jewel.

Le Pavillon de Galon has it all: location, history, beauty, charm, and delightful proprietors. The property is location in the valley below the southern slope of the Luberon Mountains of Provence near the village of Cucuron. The pastoral setting, with views of the Luberon and Mont Sainte Victoire in the distance, is glorious. The site itself, undoubtedly chosen for its precious spring waters, was once a Roman patrician house and was later rebuilt as a 17th C. hunting lodge. So, a feeling of ancient history pervades the property. Bibi and Guy Hervais have done a masterful job of renovating the home and cultivating the surrounding land. They produce Hocus Pocus wine and Pavillon de Galon olive oil on the property. The flower garden, particularly spectacular in spring with its hundreds of pale purple irises, has been designated a "Jardin Remarquable." The owners believe in good food, and the breakfast served to guests is delicious: fresh local berries, crisp croissants, locally-sourced goat yogurt and cheese, and jams made from fruit grown on their land—all efficiently served by a sweet provençale woman. Staying at Le Pavillon de Galon is a very special experience, and I can highly recommend it to the discerning traveler.

My boyfriend and I spent three nights here in early September, and it was so hard to leave! All of the reviews I read before arriving were raves, and we had to agree. The house is lovely, the guest rooms are large and beautifully furnished, and the gardens and pool are stunning. We started every day with breakfast outside on the terrace, which included delicious jams made from the myriad fruits grown on the property. Guy and Bibi are gracious hosts, and we really appreciated their recommendations of nearby villages - and restaurants - to visit. The experience was less like a hotel and more like staying with friends who have fabulous taste. We hope to go back for a longer stay someday!
