Great experience overall. Service was very kind and helpful. The rooms are great, although it would be better if the host could change the heater temperature since sometimes the room gets a bit cold. Good restaurant/breakfast service with a wide range of choices. Recommended for a couple of days.

It is difficult to find accommodation in this area and we needed secure parking. The hotel is rather old fashioned but clean and friendly with very pleasant helpful staff. The restaurant is basic but perfectly adequate. We would stay there again It is in th centre of the town but Giverny is only 4 kms and there is a dedicated...

Looking at the other reviews I am wondering if we just lucked out because for us it felt like we were staying at a Hilton. The receptionist spoke excellent English and was very helpful stowing our luggage prior to check-in so we could go to Monet's house and gardens for the afternoon. The room was large, modern and beautiful with...

Rooms fine; etc. But really the staff were so helpful. We got in on very busy night - last two rooms - and staff were very helpful and accommodating for us. Would definitely visit again. Nice location in the middle of town. Our rooms, at least, had nice view of attractive houses and gardens behind.

This lovely inn has both old Normandy charm and all modern convinces. I've seen more French/English signage here than in most larger French hotels. Desk staff fluent English and very helpful. Nice buffet breakfast for a nominal extra fee. Happy travels!

A good overnight stay on my way to Giverny. The staff was helpful. My room was quiet and I slept with the window open to the courtyard, which was a real treat. It's not far from the church and near the central business district. A bit if a haul from the train station, though. I'd stay there again.

easy to find and good access to Giverny but the room smells. The separate toilet reeks of an undefined smell. When questioned we were told it was the Seine and as they were full there was nothing they could do for us. What about the plastic geraniums?

The reception staff gave us a warm and friendly welcome on our arrival and all the staff were helpful and friendly. The room was newly decorated and well furnished. It was a good size. There was always plenty of hot water in the bath and shower. The breakfast was adequate with a reasonable selection. It was a buffet style and...

The Normandy was once, I'm sure, the premier hotel in the small town of Vernon. From it's prime location & stolid exterior, I was expecting a "shabby sheik" experience. The ornate lobby & grand oak stairwell played to this feel as well. The first step into the ultra modern elevator changed that view. The room was large, airy, & all...

Arrived on the same evening as a English coach party who sort of took over the bar/dining room. I think this accounted for the staff being a little 'short' at times. Room was OK, food was OK and the town, from what we saw of it was an easy stroll from the hotel. Sadly though the hotel had an unpleasant...
