I am big fan of Peljesac and Trpanj. This is our third time that we are staying in hotel Faraon in Trpanj, and I must say that this year service is much worse than previous years. Very poor selection of meals and low quality, breakfast is pretty basic, there is very little seasonal fruit, mostly some apples and pears, not much fish or vegetables for lunch or dinner and it is lower quality. Coffee is terrible and plates are not very clean, you can see a lot of smudges from food. Also, there is no more afternoon snack by the pool, no animation for kids, or water aerobics. Seems that the hotel is understaffed. Young personnel are very kind, but there is one older lady that was very rude to the guests. Internet is very slow, like dial up. All in all complete service degraded this year, compared to last years, although room prices are higher. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel, not worth the money.

This hotel is about one thing and one thing only. The beautiful town of Trpanj. Unfortunately, they are the only game in town so to speak, therefore they have little incentive to be anything better than average. Pro's - we stayed in a premium sea view room. For that we had an average sized room, with two twin beds pushed together and a small TV. In the bathroom we had a full sized bath with a shower over head. While this room was dated, it was comfortable, with functioning climate control and a balcony with exceptional views over the beach and sea beyond. The food in the hotel was relatively well cooked. There was limited choice but for those not willing to venture to one of Trpanj's many reasonably priced and delicious restraunt's, you won't go hungry. There is also a children's pool and adults pool which were fine, if nothing special. Cons: it was advertised that a kids club is present in this hotel. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to be accurate. The hotel do employ two Women to perform this duty, but it seems as if there phone's are much more interesting. We have witnessed them sitting head down, in the shade on there phone's and putting on music on the speaker system, nothing more. The rest of the staff, while friendly seem to mainly consistent of teenagers who wait till the end of the evening to start helping them selves to the self service drinks. This is with the exception of the reception staff and cleaning staff, who were incredibly professional. The all inclusive should have coffee all day long, not just for an hour in the afternoon. I cannot see this being a cost thing, more a staff don't want to bother thing. And there should be more choice of food also. We had one dinner only. We ended up eating out as we felt the choice just two limited. Overall, we would not return ourselves. This hotel isn't really aimed at British Touristst. We have stayed in other hotels where that is the case, but have at least felt welcome. If you just want a base to exli the beautiful scenery, I would suggest a villa would be more cost effective and more enjoyable! But overall, we did have a lovely holiday and the views are amazing

This was an interesting place. Originally built for the communist apparatchiks, this hotel has that communist era feel. There are little things that are quite weird, from the showers, to the heat registers in the rooms, to the AC. However, this hotel has one outstanding feature, a drop dead great location. The views are spectacular, and the town of Trpanj is absolutely charming. The breakfast at the hotel is basic, but filling. You could do worse. If you are from North America, you will be the only ones as most of the guests are from Bosnia, Czech Republic, Slovenia, Poland, and are here with extended families, giving the whole place a really festive air.

Stayed on this side of peninsula for a couple of nights after being in Orebic before heading back to Dubrovnik. The hotel didn't appear to be very busy and I appeared to be the only one on Half Board as others had a different colour of wristband. Food at dinner was OK though not a lot of choice and could have been hotter. No bacon at breakfast just a selection of sausages and egg. A few car parking spaces at front of hotel and available spaces but at peak times it's a narrow road therefore finding somewhere to park may be an issue. Free WiFi worked fine, good hot water and pressure in shower and view from balcony was spectacular looking over harbour with ferry over to the mainland.

Wonderfull treat, spending the night before the ferry crossong. Comfortable rooms, super views from our balcony, and quiet. The staff went out of their way, to take care of all of our needs. Sorry we didn't plan a second night.

Nice place for short vacation (we only stay for 1 night). Small beach is just in front of hotel - so if you need a place for sleep and eat and swim - it's for you. AI beer and wind taps we also big + for us :-)

First time in Croatia but not our last. Landed at 0900 on the 27/09/19 weather was 26 degrees. Walked 100 metres to Sixt rentacar and collected our VW Golf, well renault Kadjar. We then left Dubrovnik and followed the satnav to our hotel. 2 hours of some of the best scenery ever. Reached our hotel which is dated. We got to our room, the beds were lovely, we overlooked the sea. Peaceful, the odd ripple coming from the almost silent ocean. Stayed at the hotel for the evening meal which was nothing to write home about. Being halfboard we felt we had to. Walked along the harbour and had a couple of drinks in a nearby bar. Slept like an angel in the hotel room although there was a 2 foot climb into the shower. Got up the following morning, breakfast was fine, bolied eggs, various sausages, bacon, and other bits, no drame and 8 out of 10 for me. Drove along the coast away from Dubrovnik and found an amazing beach where we stayed for a few hours. Had the last and final meal at the hotel, this meal was a bit drab and made us wish it was a B&B. Went out the following day to Orebic, these roads were twisty and turny, proper drivers roads. We spent the evening here too having changed at the hotel of course and the same roads agsin, sooo much fun although you need 100% attention. Drove back to Orebic the next morning and got the car ferry over to Korcula. Parked in the public multi story at the top of the town and walked down. Historic town with lots to see, wouldn't want to miss this place! Back to the hotel, got changed and back to Orebic for my 50th meal. Found Restoran Amfura (Seperate review☆☆☆☆☆}, had the sea food platter. The following day we travelled to Dubrovnik, stopped off at Ston. There are the old city walls that you can walk, its a hike but hey i'm 50 and i did it. Went on to Dubrovnik and used another multi storey at the top and walked down, sooooo busy but pretty amazing. Did the game of thrones 2 hour walking tour, more steps.....went back to Ston and had dinner there as Dubrovnik is pretty expensive. Didn't back to the hotel until 10 pm, hardly anyone appears to drive in the dark. Then today check out at 10am although the lady on reception has let us keep the key so we can shower after we spend the day on the beach. Do's: get a car, go to Orebic and Korcula, visit Ston if just for the food. Dubrovnik is also a must. Don'ts: do all inclusive unless you want to sit in gods waiting room. Spend every day in Dubrovnik the sights are everywhere and the roads amazing.

This is a classic 3 star hotel, but built into the side of a mountain and right on top of the access road and beach. Thus, real problems finding anywhere to park less than 400 meters away. Plus, the place has no lift, just lots and lots of stairs, which became a bit tiring day in and day out. Otherwise the staff and food were adequate, rooms clean, with a refreshing breeze off the sea that required no air conditioning throught our stay.

We had a nice vacation at this hotel. Location is great, service very good and good food. It needs some room renovation, and maybe a better wifi would be good for some, but generally this is nice for the money.
