We were welcomed by a very pleasant and helpful receptionist. She showed us to our room and explained that the hotel was designed to provide facilities in all rooms for the less abled.
The twin beds are hospital standard adjustables. The rooms are large with plenty of space for manoeuvring wheel chairs. The bathroom is very accessible with standard facilities for less abled people.
Unfortunately this has left the room with no character whatsoever, it is like a hospital room. Lack of any floor covering has also made it very noisy both inside the room and noises coming in from outside.
The room we were in had an open balcony meaning that persons from other rooms could walk right past the large patio style sliding doors. Potentially no privacy at all. There are no opening windows and no air conditioning. This means that in order to get any fresh air, the patio door has to be opened. This results in the room being open to a great many people. No security at all.
Breakfast is served in a large and airy area. Food was fine. Self service buffet. All very much like a large works canteen.
The concept behind this hotel is to be applauded. Unfortunately, it hasn't quite come off.
Free parking and within walking distance of the beach and center.
This is a care hotel, which also explains the spacious rooms and bathroom, fully equipped for wheelchairs. But this felt a bit strange, if you don't need this care.
