We've just returned from a brilliant 7 day trip with a 3yo and 5yo. After reading reviews prior to booking, I was trying not to have super high expectations but what we got was excellent value - we paid £845 for the final week of the UK summer holidays. We stayed in cottage 131 which was just 10 minutes walk from the centre. I would describe the accommodation as simple rather than basic. It was very clean - just a bit of dust under the bed! I'd probably pay a little extra for beds to be made up on arrival as we were quite tired on arrival. Our cottage was only 1 minute from our car which made it easy when we wanted to get off the park. We didn't need bikes in this location and I don't think this park is spread across such a wide area as others. Do bring insect repellent for summer trips as we got a few mozzie bites! Everything was great - fab swimming pool, large softplay, a nice large playground at the centre, lots of suitable activities for little kids. We only booked activities a couple of days before arrival but would probably do this earlier next time. The site was very clean and there were a lot of staff on site keeping it tidy. All staff members were very nice and helpful. On the final afternoon we took a drive over to another park - Kempervennen - it was clear that this was much more geared up to older kids so when we visit another Centreparcs (and we will) I will definitely look carefully to get a sense of what is on offer and the distance from one end of the park to another. If you've been considering visiting a European Centreparcs do it!

Been going here for 15 years as both my girls have grown up. Not been for a couple of years and this time had my eldests' boyfriend with us as well, so 5 in all. So cost. We had the big chalet for 6, which had a sauna, two bathrooms with good showers and a jacuzzi bath.3 bedrooms, with two double beds and one with 2 single beds. Nice kitted kitchen and had a dishwasher and microwave/oven that was a little tricky to figure. Bbq also in the back. We had the vip service so had bread rolls delivered every morning, which were different all the time. Including bike hire for the week, the package cost E1200. It was more than we normally pay, but I had been carrying over our original holiday of E800 for the last couple of years so splurged for this year, and have to say we'll spent. Booking early in September for May means we got money off and some deals. The chalets all look the same and drom outside looks like you have stepped back into tge 1970s but have to say the inside was as clean as always. As my kids are older we don't do some of the stuff, like the horse riding but there is loads to do. There is the swimming lagoon, play area, petting zoo, pedalos, tennis amongst overs. We have seen some upgrades since last we visited. The beach area has been done up and my big kids liked. There seemed to be more to the adventure area where they have the climbing wall and the high walk area. They now give you a wristband that not only unlocks your front door, but also a locker in the swimming area, so no need to find the euro coin! We took the bikes out to Peer, which is 25 min ride away. There are the normal brilliant bike paths to tge town from centerparcs. Some big supermarkets- it's expensive on site so we pop out to stock up - and also have a little walk around. Not much here, few cafes and shops but they do have a market but not too sure which day its on but it was worth a look when we caught it. We tend not to eat out as it is expensive (breakfast for 5 was E65) but we do treat ourselves one morning and the choice is good. On and off we have been here about 10 times. Not getting bored of it and the kids still like it. We really do spend all the time together and for that alone it's worth every penny.

We have been to Erperheide twice (2015 and 2022) and have loved it both times. It was built in 1981 and you can tell from the chalet and pool exteriors that they're a bit old school, but they are not in the least shabby. A big interiors refurb happened between our two visits and the chalets are now very smart inside. The Baluba is great and even my 13 year old loved that! SnowValley in Peer is also way better value than the British snow centres and there's an excellent bikepark in nearby Genk, so it works well for both little ones and older kids. The best thing is the value for money - even with a ferry you are paying a fraction of the price of the UK parks and the experience is just as good. The only thing stopping me from giving it 5* is the kitchens are very underequipped, presumably to make you spend more on eating out. Fine for breakfast and lunch but difficult to do any more than a very basic dinner. But I recommend this over a UK one all day long.

Accommodation: We stayed in Lodge 816 which was excellent. Suitable for us as a family if 4 with a spare room containing a cot and wardrobe. It contained hairdryer, kettle, coffee machine etc so you just have to turn up. Location: Lodge was well located and none are too far a walk from the amenities. Facilities: excellent swimming pools suitable for all ages. Toddler play pool, kids pool, lazy river, rapids, outdoor and slides. Easy to spend all day with lots of lockers and seating. Soft play is large and kids loved it, although drinks in there are pricey. Food: quite a few options if you dont want to cook, although the supermarket is reasonably priced. Other areas were more than would have liked but ok. The a la carte restaurant had a reasonable selection but it depended on day and time for what you could get. Also quite a wait for fresh steak etc... They could have cooked some ready. Breakfast was a bit poor for hot selection. This is a very good option for a few nights away

We went to Center Parc in Erperheide last year during the first wave of the pandemic. Activities: Very good and well planned. The Baluba and Aqua Mundo were the highlights of the days. Thanks to Baluba the children were able to play and run out their energy without extra costs to the stay. Aqua Mundo was very well organized. The sections for children were very good. One pool for small babies and one section for bigger kids, but where the waters did not go above their heads. Parents could sit close by and still observe them without having to be in the water with them. Cottage: We had ordered a childre's cottage. When we got inside, it smelled old, and in the bedrooms there were spider webs in the roofs, the wardrobes contained dust and behind the sofas there were dust, crums (of who knows what) and spider webs. We ended up disinfecting the whole cottage with products we had brought ourselves. To be a children's cottage it was very dirty. We did not even use the changing table that was in one of the bedrooms. Staff: The staff in general was very friendly and helpful. A smile tells everything about customer service. All in all, we had a good stay with the activities, the children enjoyed and the chery on the top despite the cottage state, was the restaurant El Fuego. From food to service, this restaurant made us want to dine there a second time. Refund of Eco-cheques: We paid our stay with Eco-cheques ( a system in Belgium) and was told that we would be refunded back the amount max after 6 weeks after our stay. After 8 weeks we contacted them and they say they had done the refund, the day after we left the park. However, only 3 days after we called did we get refunded. Conclusion: We would go back but choose a another cottage type.

It's old but there's a lot in it. We enjoyed our few days here, the pools are good and ya gotta love a wild river. Big bonus is the baluba fun place, so much to play on for kids. Feels remote but there's a small town nearby with supermarkets and a massive indoor skiing place just form the road. Easy to find too. Not my favourite centerparc but get relaxing hol

We arrived today and I am shock how dirty the sleeping rooms and the bathroom are. The “Premium cottage” smells like a person has died inside. There are dead insects at the ceiling of the sleeping-room. There is dust everywhere, the kitchen has not been cleaned and you can see tomate sauce on it. At the sleeping room above the bed there is broken wall where a little piece has been replaced but the hole is still open ( see picture). I am wondering if there is some kind of “hygienic control” for hotels in Belgium, because I can see that a lot of people complained about the same problems ( specially about the musty) since 2018 and nothing has changed. How many children’s can get sick because of the musty? Does Center Parcs care about the health of the children who sleep in these moldy houses? 🤔🤔🤔🤔

I have been to several Centre Parcs in the UK. The kids have a great time, but the organisation REALLY sinks the knife in cost wise in school holidays. Plus they are always so busy. This location is lovely, set in beautiful Belgian countryside. The staff are so much friendlier than the usual in the UK. The site was really nice although not one of the bigger ones. The Aqua Mundo is great with really excellent slides, particularly the outdoor white water rapids. Our lodge was fine although the little side room was a bit cold and damp and we had a mid visit leak from a full gutter. To be fair the staff dealt with it rapidly and efficiently. In short, it's Centre Parcs, but not as we know it!

2nd time there , i guess this cottages were not being remodel for 30 years, and will not in the next 30 years, and that is a shame. you can see spider nets all over, dust, mosquitoes everywhere. open the door and some frogs will jump in and than good luck catching them, it is nature BUT things can be MUCH better there if you do some make over !!! kitchen equipment is discusting and had better years, sofa in the living room - discusting !!! in our 1st trip there years ago we did not noticed those things but now we do. ONLY thing improved from then is the free wifi. that all. facilities also stayed same - pools were great and clean and the kids had fun. prices for activities - are ridiscously high and this is a shame. 100 euro gor renting cart for a day ? why ? anyway good luck.
