So very happy we picked this place to stay for our 2 nights in Obertraun. It was picture perfect, surrounded by the Austian Alps, absolutely breathtaking! We rented Apts #1 and #2. Both had balconies looking our at the alps so the view was magnificent. The apartments themselves are small but nicely decorated and each came with a fully furnished kitchen. Apt #1 has a stand alone shower, while apt #2 has a bath/shower combination. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of blankets available. In the hall between the 2 apts was a vending machine stocked with a variety of food items - very convienient. Trevor, the owner, was very warm, friendly, and kind. It was a pleasure meeting him. We were traveling for several days and going to a few different places and this was definitely a nice respite from the crowds and pace of big cities. We are a party of 4 people and very racially mixed. I was initially a little nervous about what kind of reception we would receive in a small town in the heart of the Austrian Alps. Well, worring about that was a complete waste of time. Obertraun is a small town with a warm and embracing attitude. Everyone there was so nice and friendly. It was, simply put, wondeful!! We we went to Halstatt for a couple of hours, it was such a tourist place. We rushed back to the comfort of Obertraun. It's an oasis surrounded by stunning views and friendly people and dogs. Loved it!! Go here and enjoy, but book early, there are only 3 apartments at Landhaus Osborne.

I stayed in Landhaus Osborne with my bf twice and I am quite sure we will come back! The rooms were decorated tastefully, equipped with everything your heart desires and extremely cosy. The kitchen in each apartment had all the appliances - from pizza cutter to toaster. Moreover the rooms had a very good isolation, so we slept soundly. The hosts, Judith and Trevor, were very helpful and responsive. They picked us up and brought us back to the train station, gave us bikes to make a wonderful ride to Hallstatt, gave me a hat :) Their pets, the dog Ozzy and the two cats Toby and Georgie, were very lovely! I highly recommend everyone Landhaus Osborne!

Landhaus Osborne and its owners impressed us during our stay because of the systematic attention they paid to any possible detail inside and ouside the room, their permanent disponibility and kindness, the ideal location of the house beside the lake and the provision of anything we may need such as maps, storages, cleaning material, mountain equipment, weather update, etc. and even night events and gigs during our stay. I would highly recommand to book a room their to anybody anytime.

We enjoyed our stay. We stayed in the upper room of the main house. Very cozy. The hosts offer wine and food for purchase and did our laundry for a reasonable fee. They also offered suggestions for restaurant and our next day's activities.

A warm welcome from Trevor & Judith on our family's first ski trip together. They and their dogs made us feel very welcome and were gushing with recommendations for ski, eat and spa. Delighted that they could join is for a couple of runs on the piste also! Accommodation was warm, clean and generously proportioned. Plenty of parking for a 4x4 or large SUV. Conveniently located for various ski resorts incl Krip, Gosau and Russbach.

I cannot fault the welcome, comfort, helpfulness, location. It more than met our expectations and we will certainly be back. Judith & Trevor made us feel so comfortable and their knowledge of the area was a great help in pointing out the best places to ski, eat and generally get the most out of our break.

Within moments of arriving at Landhaus Osborne, my husband and I knew we would be returning. Everything about the place was charming. Trevor and Judith were warm and gracious hosts. They had many wonderful recommendations for us and gladly made dinner and taxi reservations when we asked. We especially enjoyed using the complimentary bikes to explore the area including biking to Halstaat. Highly recommend staying at Landhaus Osborne! It was a definite highlight of an exceptional vacation.

I took my family to Obertraun in September and chose Landhaus Osborne for our accommodation. This is our second time to Obertraun and last time we stayed in House Am See which is located directly along the lake. My wife was complaining that I didn't select a lake-view hotel but this house looking quite far away from the lake. Finally she withdrew her complaint when we were leaving. The house is very warmly decorated. Although it is not very big, you got everything you need from it! We could definitely feel how much effort the owners put to make us feel like at home! The owner spoke very good English so that we could communicate without any problems. He kindly showed us everything about the tour, event and they even had a heated thermal for guests! The breakfast is one of the best among more that 20 hotel we have ever been staying in Europe, including many 5-stars. Mr Trevor and Mrs Judith took care of us like friends and we really had a good time in their house. I can imagine how wonderful it will be in winter season with plenty of snow! Just one thing not perfect: there is very few restaurants nearby. The nearest is about 20minut's walk and it might take you about 30-40minutes to reach Obertraun Dachsteinhöhlen Bahnhof and lake area. From there another 30minute' walk to Hallstatt. Actually Landhaus Osborne is closer to mountain area. But I am sure this will not be a big problem because you can even cook yourself in your apartment. Mr Trevor and Mrs Judith have prepared all the kitchen wares!

We strive to give our guests the best breakfast we can to set them up for the day. With regards to the restaurants, although the nearest (Koppenrast) is a 10 minute walk, it is a beautiful walk. Also we have bikes, which guests are welcome to use free of charge. Maybe Yi Heng will be big enough to be able to cycle too next time. We also offer a free transfer service for our guests to and from Obertraun train station. We look forward to welcoming your family again soon :-)

Landhaus Osbourne has a great location away from the rat race in Halstett but close to all the area attractions. Judith was a great host and gave us several good restaurant recommendations as well as other information. I highly recommend Landhaus Osbourne for anyone staying in this area.

Just few minutes walk into forest and Obertraun river. Is is really nice for hiking for family because of easy walking. Also nit so far to walk to Hallstatt lake side near Obertraun train station. Really enjoyed!
