We arrived to a warm reception after a beautiful drive from Linz. Our room was ready, comfortable and spotless. We had a standard room in the new part of the hotel. There was a balcony overlooking the town and the mountains beyond with two chairs and a table. Inside there were also two comfortable chairs. In the original part of...

A lovely hotel in Bad Aussee. My bf and I stayed here for a weekend in March. Room: We had a nice room with a small balcony looking over the town. There was a really nice smell in the room from the wooden furniture, as if you’re out in the forest. Beds were very comfortable, the rooms was clean and...

As well as being a lovely hotel with well equipped rooms, great view and delicious food the staff went the extra mile to make my brief business stay a wonderful one. On hearing a colleague and I needed to leave at 5am they organised to have flasks of coffee and breads and yoghurt waiting for us at 4am so we...

Erzherzog Johann hotel in Bad Aussee may not have the lake view, but is an excellent hotel with much to offer (such as a spa with indoor/outdoor pool). Comfortable room very clean, and substantial breakfast, as well as convenient to interesting sights like Altaussee and the Salzwelt mine where the nazis hid stolen art. Fascinating.

We stayed 3 nights towards the end of our cycling holiday. The hotel was a great place to recuperate after cycling in 30 degree heat. We stayed on the half board rate in Rom 403, which was a good sized mini suite with a small seating area and small balcony. The 5th floor swimming pool and spa was great, with...

The place, environment, restaurant all are extremely nice. Of coarse this comes not for free. I visited the hotel about 20 years ago. The standards are still at the same level. The nature in the Bad Aussee area is wonderfull.

We stayed 1 night during our way to Italy. We got a spacious room with balcony facing the mountains. The breakfast buffet was great. The dinner (half board) was 5 course menu - with a lot of variety!. The roof swimming pool facing the mountains was excellent and relaxing. The hotel was very clean!

For our 20th wedding anniversry, my husband surprised me with a long week-end in this lovely hotel in the middle of Austria! Our room on the 4th floor was spacious and spotlessly clean with a remarkable view of the surrounding mountains. We slept like a dream in the room which was lined with swiss pine walls and flooring. The two...

Great hotel with probably the friendliest and most attentive staff I have met in Austria. The location is beautiful and only a 15 mins drive from the ski slopes. Great spa/swimming facilities to relax. Rooms are simple yet clean and just what you need for such a priced hotel. Food was above average. Would easily return!!
