We have just spent 3 nights at this hotel and can honestly say it is one of the best hotels we have stayed in. We were due to stay in the hotel next door but due to a mistake they had to find us another room, and they picked very well.

When we arrived on the Friday evening we were met with a very warm welcome from Birgit. That continued all the way through out trip. She was so friendly and very helpful, she gave us all the information we needed from local bus passes, lift passes, where to pick up our rental snowboards and also the local restaurants.

The rooms are very clean and tidy, very modern and are very comfortable. There is a storage room below that you can leave your skis/snowboards and also your boots to warm. The sauna and steam room are very good and are enjoyable after a day on the slopes.

We would definitely stay here again if we are to visit Hintertux in the future, and we would recommend this hotel to everyone.

Thanks again Birgit

Andy and Laura

The owner is a very friendly lady. The hotel, in Tiroler style, is very neat. The rooms are spacious and bathrooms are clean and spacious.
Good breakfast.
The hotel is conveniently located in the middle of toen with the ski bus only 100 m away.

The Hotel Garni Jakober impressed us across the board.
A successful stay in a particularly clean hotel that impresses with its very good location and friendly atmosphere.
The hotel manager Birgit Stock is helpful, professional and extremely knowledgeable about the area.
Breakfast: Large selection plus fresh egg dishes on request.
The sauna area was very pleasant.
We would gladly come back!

This is a fantastic small hotel right next to the lift. The lady who run the place is super nice, the hotel it self is super cosy and traditional tirol. The rooms are way above expectation and the beds very comfy. Highly recommended. Bathroom brand new, free parking.

Perfect stay in this very nice hotel, with a warm personnal welcome by the owner, Birgit Stock. Amazing service!
The hotel has a well equipped welness (sauna, hammam, massage...), and a great breakfast buffet. It is well situated close to the Rastkogel ski area.

I've stayed here a few times now. Bridgit and her Father are brilliant. Breakfast is fantastic, the hotel is immaculate and the sauna area is great. In my opinion, the location is perfect. It's next door to a supermarket and the free ski bus meaning you can get to Tux or Mayhofen easily. But hold on a minute! You can actually get the Rastkogel lift opposite the hotel and ski all day there or head over to Mayrhofen via Finkenberg. I wouldn't stay anywhere else!

Thanks for a wonderful stay! Rooms were clean, spacious and had a balcony with a nice view. Drying room was very good too. Location was very good for accessing the Hintertux glacier. The sauna was awesome after a day on the slopes. Appreciated the warm hospitality and kindness, especially the dinner recommendations!

Me and my parents have been back and back again at the Hotel-Garni Jakober for almost 15 years now and we LOVE IT! It always feels like coming home. :) It's family run and everyone is just really friendly and incredibly helpful.

The place is clean and the rooms spacious. The ski room is nice and warm so your ski are dry and your boots aren't freezing cold in the morning. Can be crucial with temperatures below -15 degrees.

It's 3min walking distance from the main lift and right next to everything else you need for a good skiing holiday - pub, restaurants, stores, ski hire, pub again...

The region as such is a paradise for alpine sports summer and winter!

I can only recommend it to everyone who is planning on visiting the Zillertal. But be quick - the rooms go fast during the snow season and school holidays and we missed out for this year. :(

Mrs. V

PS: you gotta try the "Zirbenschnaps", ask the owner! :)

We booked a room only one day before our trip to Tux so we got some last minute offer “pay 3 nights and stay 4”. It was a very good price and besides, the nice landlady offered us a free of charge upgrade from double room to small apartment. We have two little children so it was really useful for us. They also prepared very nice baby cot for our youngest.
The hotel is absolutely spotlessly clean, everything is modern, fine working and new. The breakfast is reach, one morning we even got salmon – mmmmmm. Eggs are prepared on spot, according to your preferences.
Position very good – close to main street, close to restaurants and right near bus station. There is also a very nice foot path to walk by the riverside from Vorderlanersbach to Tux village center.
The landlady is very helpful, she provides lots of useful information about the surroundings and also gives you a ticked for free public transportation in the area, so you can go by bus to the glacier or to Mayrhofen.
We regret that we couldn’t stay the last night because of some issues with our car, we were worried and decided to leave earlier than we planned. We hope to be back at Jakober in the winter season for skiing.

Fantastic hotel that took me by surprise by the amazing service, thank you Bridget! I've never received such personal and wonderful service from any hotels before. We came here to ski in the summer (late June) and Bridge was very patient, explained to us everything that we wanted to know and offered to drive us to the Hintertux glacier for 2 mornings when the local bus didn't fit our schedule in the morning.

When I was having a headache I asked for hot water and lemon and she freshly squeezed the lemon for me when I was just expecting her to cut the slice. She was always there if you needed to ask her anything and made our trip so enjoyable and pleasant.

Bridget also runs the hotel herself so big clap for her!

Other pros of the hotel:
- good range of breakfast, fantastic hot chocolate and latte, she also made us fried eggs
- big rooms, comfy beds and pillows
- very good location, right next to the bus stop and a supermarket next to it, 15m bus/drive to Hintertux glacier
- room amenities e.g bathroom all there
- ski storage room (if you need it)

No cons...none that i can think of

"We did not view any of the other bedroom interiors, however, if the rest of the hotel was similar to our room, there would not be a bad room. Obviously, the higher floor rooms would have the better mountain views."
