Just back home after a fantastic weeks holiday at this hotel. Perfect in every way. Great location with the ski bus stop around the corner. Food from breakfast, afternoon tea to dinner was amazing, with plenty of choice for everyone. My only negative comment would be that whilst our menu was made available in English other information wasn’t. For example, we found out on our last evening from one of the bar staff that guests have the opportunity to eat at other restaurants and the hotel gives you €10 pp refund. This wasn’t relayed to us so we missed this opportunity.
The spa facilities were good; loved the outdoor jacuzzi, but felt the rule to ‘go naked’ in the steam and saunas were a bit much!
Despite this we hope to return again as the slopes at Schlick 2000 were great.

I really like this hotel. First its location: with the skibus to Schlick around the corner and the regional bus ( 50 min drive) to Stubai Gletscher at a 3min walk and a grocery shop closeby. The hotel reception, bar and restaurant look very stylish. The staff is correct and helpful. The rooms are tidy and spacious enough (mine was 22m² which is enough when traveling solo). The food is more than you might expect in this price category. The wellness area is super although I want to mention it is spread over two locations connected via a tunnel. But the pools and sauna's are just perfect. Tke ski room has ski boot dryers. The hotel shuttle can pick you up from the airport, takes about 20 minutes. Finding your way in the undergound of the hotel can be a bit of a challenge.

Everything was amazing. The staff, the food, the rooms. Especially the food. Congratulations to the chef.
Location is close to the "Schlick 2000" gondola station. Only 2 bus stops.
It was the second time when I spend my ski holiday there but for sure not the last.

When you check into a hotel rated at 4 star plus, the last thing you expect to encounter is arrogance that’s in its own league, regrettably this is exactly what we encountered.
What should have been a simple negotiation to remedy what we were being offered compared to what we were expecting resulted in the hotel receptionist walking away from us muttering under her breath, utterly disgusting behaviour and wholly unprofessional but as others have mentioned maybe it’s because we don’t speak German had a bearing on matters, if on the other hand you appreciate being treated like dirt……enjoy your stay !!
Suffice to say we will never return to this hotel due to how we were treated, in fact we have already found an alternative lovely hotel with lovely staff in another part of the Stubai valley who will benefit from our future regular visits to the area.

If your looking for the perfect host then look elsewhere!!
The family are Rude and very Ignorant, they don't know the meaning of manners.
They treat the English as second rate citizens, however, there more than happy to take your money. Look elsewhere as the resort has much better hotels within the resort

Cons
- not enough parking spaces for such a big hotel. The spaces under the ground are way to small. Not fun to drive in circles to find a parking space when you come back from te slopes
- we booked for the hotel but they dropped us in an other building next door. Make sure if you book This hotel that they do not put you somewhere else
- the WiFi in the main hotel is Good but in the building next door its very bad. We went a few times tot the reception to complain but they did not believe us ... euh we Cannot lie about not working wifi
- the people at the reception are very unfriendly. The workers in the restaurant are All very friendly. The ones at the reception must get some hospitality training.
- kids can only swim untill 17:00. Euh excuse me. Is this a family hotel???? So if you have children you are not welcome
- the food is not top. Always the same and some restaurant get better food.... we all payed but some money is more welcome

Pro
- the bar is a lovely and a relaxing Place to drink something.

I would not recommend going here. You can read my other comments and you Will see that i am not a difficult person.

Response from Johann Deutschmann, Inhaber at Alpin Resort Stubaier Hof
Responded Nov 14, 2020
Dear Family Bartwauters, thank you very much for your feedback. We are really sorry that you vere not satisfied with your stay in our resort. However, we'll try to explain a few things regarding the different houses, that you understand a bit better. We have four different houses which are all connected through underground floors. The one building, where you had your room, the Posthouse, is more traditional and not that modern, but also quite less expensive than the rooms in other buildings. With this option we just want that guests and families also have the possibility to benefit from all the Stubaierhof-Inclusives but for less budget. We will transfer your concern about the swimming hours for kids and also the WIFI concern, so that these things can get improved. Kind regards Your Family Deutschmann with team

reception people don't understand English/French, just German, which is a pity!! they have no idea what client service means, they are very rude and uninterested in the guests, put older people like my father in dining room about 100 metres away from where the buffet is served, a real disgrace! rooms are not fresh and tidy, certainly not 4 stars worth!!! welness is only for the naked, because if you prefer keeping bathing suit on, there is only one sauna available, the rest of all the wellnes facilities is for the naked, sadly... The food was excellent: all the credits go to the young chef who is a wizard in the kitchen!! thank god for that!! and the area of course is magnificent, so we did enjoy our stay but not thanks to the hotel management and reception!! i would only come back for the food, not for the rest!!

We arrived late after a delayed flight, the receptionist was brilliant. Such a great welcome which helped after our extensive exhausting journey. Room was very spacious with separate toilet and bathroom plus sofa and occasional table. Evening meals were very special, 5 courses which were served at a relaxed pace. The chefs worked hard to provide inventive choices at each course, presentation was perfect. We always looked forward to the evening meal. We never had any problems with service. The hotel has a spa, where sauna and wet rooms are available, do note that is the Austrian tradition this is a naked experience. The sauna had a hotel member work the heat into the room, after the 10 minute session you felt invigorated. A great asset after a days skiing. Hotel is 2 minutes walk to free bus which takes you to Schlick 2000 . You can leave your skis at intersport so only need ski boots for the bus. Bus runs frequently, always on time.
So great location, great spa and divine dining. Definitely will return as great for a short ski break

We visited Stubaier Hof as a Group of three famelies. Rooms and facilities were very good. Service was not so good. Tolerance of children was not so good.

There was a general feeling of lack of genuine service and commitment from the staff.

The food was fine, and in the high end, compared to the general level of 4* hotels in Austria.

Our evaluation is based om extensive experience with other hotels in Austria and elsewhere.

Returned to the Stubaierhof this year after an enjoyable stay at the same time January last year. If anything this year was better since we were much more au fait with the amenities of the hotel, valley transport and villages. The hotel is a great base for the nice compact but dramatic and varied ski area of Schlick 2000 with bus just a short walk from hotel. A slightly longer walk (5 mins) to bus for Stubai glacier an extensive high snow sure area.

Comfortable hotel, swimming pool with wellness area and probably the best food we have had on any skiing holiday. The salad buffet is fantastic with 30+ items to choose from not including the dressings oils and vinegars. The main courses well cooked, beautifully presented, and good choice of meat fish and vegetarian options. Classic Austrian "Gemütlichkeit" prevails in the hotel. We have skied in other European countries and we are of the opinion that Austrian hotels and resorts deliver the complete winter holiday package at a reasonable price. At our week at the Stubaiehof we skied four areas, toboganned, winter walked, swam, enjoyed food and drink in the hotel and a variety of mountain huts and restaurants. Thanks to all in the hotel and Stubai valley for a an enjoyable memorable week.
