Just back from a Weeks skiing. What a great Hotel we had 2 rooms 210 and 213 both huge and wonderfully clean. Great Food, Staff and Hotel spa facilities. Could not fault anything.Room 213 has only 1 window that opens though. and No balcony. It was huge though. We will be back and will stay in this hotel. Thank you all the staff for a fab week.

Just returned from a Crystal ski holiday beginning of March. We had 3 single rooms which could easily have been doubles (maybe they were). Nice balcony with two chairs, spacious rooms. Plenty of drawer and cupboard storage. My room (115) had a safe, settee, table, writing desk, fridge, bath with shower over and separate toilet off an entrance hallway. Not all rooms have fridges. Excellent breakfast with bacon and eggs or omelettes cooked to order as well as all the usual offerings. Soup and cake available late pm foc. Choose dinner main course at breakfast time. Dinner was salad, starter, soup, main course, desert and cheese if you could manage all that – really nice food – free tap water, wine starting at 28 euros a bottle or by the 100ml glass at a seventh of the bottle price! Service was outstanding – a special mention for our superb waitress Danka who was brilliant and so friendly – I think from other comments that all the staff are brilliant. Good size boot and ski room but for 50 euros we used the ski lift locker which just about held 2 sets of skis, helmets and boots – however, if you don’t want to hire the ski locker, the bus to the Schlossalm lift (Bad Hofgastein) is 30 yards from the front door and takes only a few minutes – runs every 15 minutes. Indoor pool is small but slightly warmer than the indoor/outdoor much larger pool. Gym and spa – didn’t have time to use. Drinks in the bar reasonable priced eg 500ml beer at 4.20 euro. To go to Sportgastein or Dorfgastein you need to catch the bus from the Schlossalm lift. Dorfgastein is our favourite for views and snow quality. Sportgastein can be closed at the top half being a lot higher so choose a good day as the bus takes a good half an hour. Hotel owner even took the trouble to come and talk to us one evening and make sure everything was ok. Superb hotel – will revisit when we next go back to Bad Hofgastein.

Super hotel with fabulous wellness area.stayed for a week's skiing holiday in January via crystal holidays.single room was spacious with a balcony overlooking the slopes. The outdoor thermal pool is a must, even when it's snowing, very refreshing after a day on the slopes. Spa facilities definitely worth exploring. Super buffet breakfast with everything you need to set you up for a day on the slopes. Soup available apres ski and keeps you going before the fabulous evening meals. Choose your options at breakfast. Reasonably priced drinks and free water available with the meal. Bus stops outside the hotel to take you to the bus terminal,5 mins away, where you can jump on the cable car or take a bus to the neighbouring resorts.

7 or is stayed for a week in February. It is a lovely town and the hotel was great. Staff were friendly, spa was amazing and the outside pool was big enough to get a decent swim. My room was very nice and spacious too. Bar was nice and bar man helpful and friendly too. My only little gripes are that like most ski hotels, it was boiling! Why do they have to be so hot? Luckily I could open my window to cool the room down but you really need summer wear for the restaurant and bar! Secondly being vegetarian I never expect great food in .austria but this hotel did try try hard and mainly succeeded apart from the fact that the starter every day was non veggie and there was never an alternative. The salad bar was great though so I made full advantage of that instead. Overall a fantastic visit. Bus is just outside the hotel and the ski room is more than adequate. Worth walking into town and playing curling (of a sort) on the ice rink in the centre in the evening. Walk to Bad Gastein along the river was nice too.

We had a superior room, and it was quite comfortable with a large bathroom and balcony. It was very clean, The outdoor pool is great, quite big, the indoor one is also o.k., but much smaller. The are 4 types of saunas to choose from. Food is o.k. but as compared to other palces we stayed in Austria, we would rate it as average (the cook does not believe in using spices and herbs). We couldn't understand why all soups were just water with some veggies or cream and quite salty. The skibus stop is very near so this was a great advantage. We had a great time skiing and the facilities the hotel offered were just right for us. If we come back to Bad Hofgastein we will probably choose the hotel again.
