Excellent place to stay. Quite & peaceful . It was near all the local attractions and shops. Rooms were clean, a little small, but don’t take it in a negative way. The views from the room were amazing. We enjoyed our stay. Will definitely go back.

We spent 2 nights here and had a great stay. It's a very quiet resort about a 5min walk to the public beach and 5min walk into the cafe's and bars in town. The staff at the resort are all very friendly and helpful, the resort is very tidy, picturesque & rooms are comfortable & impeccably clean. Had a great time here and would stay again

We found this place by pure luck. Already from the pier on the mainland top experience, when employees take care of everything. Great location. Amazing corals in the water. Clean bungalows with everything that you need. Great breakfast (on our last day they even opened it already at 5:30 just for us). Amazing manager who will do everything for you. Few minutes walk to the village or the longest beach on the island. We will be back! Tropical paradise! Thank you!

Stayed here for 4 nights and had a wonderful, peaceful time. Really recommend the cottages that are sea facing. Makes all the difference. Loved the mornings with the view of the sea first thing and an early morning swim. You have to be careful when wading in due to the rocks. But once you are in, it's lovely and not much of a crowd/boats unlike other areas of the island which were a bit of a nigtmare after 8am. This is a place to relax and unwind as it's small quiet and cozy. If you are looking for a bit more noise and action, maybe opt for one of the places closer to the main street. For us it was perfect as town is only a 10-15 minute walk away when we wanted more choice of restaurants/ massages etc. so we felt we had the best of both worlds. Staff are wonderful and there were 4 choices for breakfast. They are flexible though and you can mix and match a bit. The only downside was that the pipe in the bathroom burst in the morning while we were asleep and flooded the bathroom but it was fixed pretty quickly after we reported it. Don't forget to take advantage of the free transfer from the mainland! Overall highly recommended.

Got to the property and expected a white sand beach with use of a swimming pool. When we arrived the property has no white sanded beaches, only rock. Could not swim in the ocean here! Ok, we thought we will just use the swimming pool, no big deal. When we arrived at the pool there was a security guard who immediately started yelling at me for putting my toe in the pool, thought this was very strange! At this point we all went and put our bathing suits on for a swim in the pool. Eight of us came back to the pool, my 15 year old son and the rest of our family. As we started to enter the pool, this same security guard stated that we could not swim in the pool with board shorts and regular swim wear, which I have used through the world. We were told rudely that the men had to use European swim wear. Speedo type swimwear and bikinis for the girls. So basically we were banned from using the swimming pool. This property does not have their own pool they share a pool with another resort next-door. It felt like there was some kind of feud going on between the two property and we got caught in the middle. The staff at the desk keep giving us the runaround about a refund, as we had book this nightmare hotel for 3 nights. Finally after hours of talking to the manager at the property they gave us a telephone number in Bangkok to help us cancel the reservation. Booking.com tried to contact this number and was given the runaround by the staff in Bangkok. Finally after a few hours and a lot of fighting the hotel agree to give us all our money back except for the use of 1 room for the night. The price was around $90 a night. Would also like to mention that all the other hotels were charging around 200 baht for a massage, this hotel was charging around 2000 baht if I remember correctly. Very pricey for hotel with no beach, no pool, and nothing to do here. All the white sanded beaches are on the other side of the island!

The resort is very cozy, full of small white cottages close to the sea. The staff is nice, the surroundings are gorgeous, and the prices are OK. They have a cooperation with the neighboring hotel so that you can use their swimming pool and beach, as there isn’t really any good swimming-possibilities on the resort itself. Tre restaurant is quite good, our lunch was splendid. Breakfast was included and OK, but we were very disappointed when we only got one small glass of juice, and were told we had to pay 120 bht (!) for one more glass. We decided to eat breakfast on a small restaurant close by instead after that. All in all a very nice little resort with a tropical feeling and friendly staff. Close to the sea, and very sweet and relaxing.

Spent 3 nights here in a nice private garden bungalow. Hotel is situated away from the main beach (full of chinese tourists) and is quiet at night.Breakfast choice is only 3 choices - western/thai but is fine. Shared swimming pool with next door resort is nice and a simple stroll into town Recommended

The room we had is small: just enough to accommodate 2 single beds and let you move around them. It doesn't even have a wardrobe. It's well-kept though, wifi works and water has very good pressure. You choose breakfast from a list of 4 presets, it's not buffet which is fair enough for a small place like this. If you want extras (like orange juice with your Thai breakfast) you have to pay for it. The best snorkelling we had in Koh Samed is just outside this hotel. The sea stretch right in front of it and its sister hotel is about 2m deep and with probably more fish and coral than the islands you visit part of the organized tours and have to share with another 100 snorkelers. The good thing about this hotel is its location as it's very close to the village centre. The further south your hotel is, the more you'll be forced to take a taxi or rent a moped (walking is an option but remember that there are no sidewalks and you have to interact with the local traffic). If you stay close to the village centre you'll have lots of cheap eating and massage options.

We booked Baan Supparod the day before arriving to Samet for the long weekend and our expectations were relatively low. We were very pleasantly surprised! The rooms were spotless and very comfortable. Some are on the beach front, others in the garden, all are beautiful. The beach in front of the hotel is quite rocky but Sai Kaew beach is only a short walk away. What is more, the hotel arranges boat pickups 3 times per day so the boat transfer to the island is included in the price. Even more surprisingly, the food is delicious! We felt lazy on our first night and decided to get dinner there: it was some of the best food we had on the island! Can't recommend this enough
