The cottage was clean and comfortable with everything needed for a holiday, even a duvet with a lower tog rating in case we were too hot! The views from the windows were beautiful. There were cows grazing outside the bedroom and dining area windows. The hosts welcomed us on arrival, showing us around the cottage and answering any questions. We... More

The farm has its own Castle, disused railway viaduct, beautiful cattle, hares and good birdlife. It is situated midway between Rothbury & Alnwick, both of which have pubs, shops & attractions. The B6341 is narrow, undulating & very fast for some local drivers. The cottage is clean, well appointed & it would merit 5 stars if it had a wood-burning... More

Our 2nd visit on the farm and never failed to disappoint us. This time we took my parents and they thoroughly enjoyed the peace and tranquillity of the place plus the surrounding areas to visit. This place in my opinion is a must.

This has to be one of the best self catering cottages we have stayed in. We only stopped over for the weekend whilst my wife did a pottery course in Rothbury. Although the weather was cold the views are fantastic and from the moment we entered the cottage and looked at the view from the bedroom window we knew we... More

From as soon as we booked Sally e-mailed us keeping in touch right up to when we arrived. Upon arrival both Sally and Roger made us feel very welcomed. Their farm is set in beautiful surroundings and extremely peaceful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there and would go back again. We can certainly understand why so many people choose to... More

Great location with beautiful scenery and wildlife, wonderful walks with rolling hills. Very welcoming friendly hosts, Sally and Robert who made our stay as comfortable as possible. We were in a great midway point to lots of POI (Alnwick Castle, Cragside, Beach, Bamburgh Castle, Warkworth Castle .. to name a few) would recommend to anyone that would like a break... More

We booked Garden Cottage for a short break after some last minute internet searching. We feel very lucky that we did. The cottage was warm, well furnished and thoughtfully equipped. Everything was spotlessly clean. The setting is very peaceful with views over rolling hills. Dark, silent nights and a comfortable bed meant a good night's sleep. Sally and Robert were... More

just a short visit as last minute thing for bank holiday weekend. Smashing cottage with plenty of amenities available. great owners - ideal position for surrounding areas and Northumberland in general. Alnwick has plenty of places to eat and variety abounds - might need to book with the more popular places like Yans. Hopefully be back again for longer this... More
