It all works as it should do,quality room with plenty of hot water, this is a venue where not having one of the en-suites is a bit of a bonus! The adjacent bathroom is enormous! Dean is a mine of local knowledge, where to eat, the best road to travel on etc. He also has an interesting collection of birds... More

We were seeking a convenient base to visit the Alnwick International Music Festival over a period of a few days, whist also wishing to take in some of the other attractions in and around the towns of Rothbury and Wooler. Cheviot view fitted the bill perfectly, being situated on the A697 road and so with easy access to all of... More

I had an enjoyable 5 night stay at Cheviot view in June in the room overlooking the garden, a good spacious room with en-suite toilet and shower. From where if you are lucky you may see the Red Squirrel on the bird feeders, if not (like me) the Jackdaws, sparrows and Woodpeckers. This a clean and well maintained friendly bed... More

Cheviot View is well located for exploring Northumberland. The rooms were large, comfortable, well decorated and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was excellent and the local knowledge of the owners made visiting the area an absolute pleasure. The premises is on an A road but this shouldn't put visitors off as the road is not overly busy and the upgraded glazing at... More

Lovely area - and a very well presented B&B very nicely furnished and equipped. Dean and Kay made our visit extremely comfortable, and we're very helpful and friendly, suggesting local 'must visits' when asked whichever probably wouldn't have found otherwise (like Barter Books in Alnwick). Breakfast was a real highlight - the 'full English' with special Cheviot View sausages and... More

Stayed here in October 2015 whilst cycling the Sandstone Way with a friend. The owner had been worried about us as arrived later than planned as it got dark. Unfortunately, the pub in the village was closed so we couldn't go there for food. After cycling for 8 hours the thought of no dinner was not good. The owner, however... More

My wife and I found this B&B by chance and spent one night there. Unfortunately, there was just one room for one night left. 😥 Our room was very big, clean and perfectly set up (comfortable bed, a table, two mirrors, bright). We had separate bathroom (not ensuite) which was huge, good shower (also huge) and very clean. Since nobody... More

We chose this bed and breakfast as some friends were staying at the nearby caravan site. Great location with very comfortable bedrooms, our room did not have an en suite but the bathroom was just down the landing. Rooms were stocked with tea trays, irons and ironing boards and sewing kits if required. Filling breakfasts of usual items and choices... More

My husband, teenage son and I stayed for three nights at the Cheviot View B&B very recently. At first I was concerned about its position on the main road through the village but the secondary glazing meant that we could barely hear the road traffic in our room positioned at the front of the house. Dean was a super host,... More

Great location, easy to find and to travel about the area from. Stunning views from the bedroom windows. It is on a 'main' road but there is little traffic and we weren't disturbed by it. There is a good playground over the road which my daughter very much enjoyed and was a welcome addition to the 'entertainment options'. Both our... More
