It should well be noted that the beach in front of the hotel is probably the worst on all of Praslin - at least this is true for the period from november to april: sea weed, coral, waves and sand flies - not a nice vacation mixture. We had to move to other beaches througout our stay. Personnel is very slow, not very attentive and sometimes hard to find. The rooms are well equipped and are nice inside. Despite other reviews the restaurant and bar prices were reasonable, especially compared to other 4-5 star hotels on the Seychelles. The pool is small and ususally occupied by someone, therfore we c ould not use it. The overall premises are not luxury by any means, a maximum of 3 stars can be allocated. Without a car you will be stuck in this establishment, nothing is somewhat close.…
December weather in Seychelles can get tricky, rain and thunderstorms mix with sunny days or sunny hours. None of that has had any influence over our amazing stay.On the contrary, it only gave us a better opportunity to get to know the amazing team of L’Archipel, under the leadership of Luca D’Offay and always present smiling and eager to help, operations manager Suren. It is our second visit to L’Archipel, the first 27! Years ago. We had fond memories and when we decided to go to the Seychelles again L’Archipel in Praslin was the choice of the heart. What a surprise it was when we saw how much more beautiful it is, the rooms have been refurbished, everything was even more amazing. It felt you don’t want to leave the place. It was sad to hear of the passing of mr Louis D’Offay, the founder of L’Archipel who nearly single handedly has built and developed this jewel of beauty and serenity. I am certain that with Luca and Suren he knows, from heaven, that his baby rests in good hands. Beyond nostalgia, L’Archipel is a boutique high end five star facility with outstanding service, impeccable attention to detail, fairly priced restaurant that beyond it’s menu will gladly respond to any special requests. Nothing is too much and too complicated, ask Suren and it’s done, from car to boat to anything. The most outstanding thing about the way the hotel is laid out is that if you chose to, you have the place for yourself. Recommend with all my love to anyone who has a heart. Thank you paradise Yael and Ronnie Braun The only complaint, now that I am back home is that I am having difficulties falling asleep without the sound of the waves …
Hotel L'archipel exceeded all of our expectations with it's private, right on the beach location nestled against a lush hillside. From your villa, you can hear the crashing waves, watch the sunset over the bay, and be mesmerized by the "flying foxes" gliding amongst the trees all while enjoying a cocktail made of island rum. Suren and his professional staff provide a VIP experience for every guest by coordinating activities, whipping up special meal requests, and assisting with any task above and beyond the norm. For those with concerns, COVID protocols are strictly adhered to and the hotel helps coordinate testing while on the island. I recommend this gem of a property and urge you to visit as you won't be sorry.
I spent a week at L'Archipel in September, and enjoyed it thoroughly. I did quite a bit of research on hotels in Praslin before I arrived (not realizing most were closed during Covid), and I chose this place because it was not an enormous complex, yet seemed to have all the amenities I was looking for - including a private beach, the view of which never got boring. The staff is extremely friendly, the manager Soren was very helpful with logistics and suggestions for excursions and places to stay on Praslin and Mahe, and the staff overall was very welcoming. Covid cut down on the number of services at the hotel and on the island, but having the place almost entirely to myself for most of the stay was an added bonus (I can imagine when fully booked, the place might get a bit claustrophobic, but then again this is a Covid-age perspective). The bungalows (more like small apartments) are sparkling clean, modern, and temperature controlled, most with amazing views of the bay. The food was mixed: dinners for the first couple of nights and the last were great-- love the job fish in creole sauce was marvelous, but the food (and especially breakfast) got a little monotonous as the full menu wasn't available. The swimming and kayaking are just amazing. The place is central to almost all of what you might want to see in Praslin, from Anse Lazio (a must see), to Valée de Mai, and most of the recommended restaurants (were they open) are minutes away by car. Highly recommend the place, though if I do the trip again, I'd probably want to split the trip between Mahe and Praslin with a day or two on La Digue, The atmosphere in Mahe is quite different, and far more bustling.…
We stayed in this hôtel for 4 nights. It was by far the most memorable one in our trip. Cosy ans relaxing.. have best personales : they are very kind and welcoming. Regarding their restaurant : it's simple and testy : they also took into account our special request ( cooking a meal without garlic for my husband )
