Reviews Summary
This summary was created by AI, based on recent reviews.
Powered by AI
Greek Peak Mountain Resort & Hope Lake Lodge boasts a rustic charm that has been well-received for its cozy beds and inviting fireplace, creating a welcoming atmosphere. However, some guests have expressed concerns over the dated amenities and occasional cleanliness issues, like stained carpets. While the cleanliness of the hotel is generally applauded, feedback suggests that the service has room for improvement, with staff sometimes seeming disorganized and unhelpful. Although the waterpark is a hit among younger visitors, adults may find the entertainment options limited, and many travelers question the value for money due to the high costs.

Our 3 children(6,8,10) had a great time at the water park, probably the most important factor. I was disappointed with the onsite dining options - healthiness and lack of venues beyond Carvers, and missing amenities like Blackout curtains and in room lotion for our shriveled skin. The kids craft room needs to be open during the week, at least for a few hours - late afternoon 4-6 or 9-11 in the morning - change of pace. I would return with the children on a Day Trip to experience Adventure Land snow and coaster.

Hotel's Favorite
We had two condo units for our 4 families of 14, three generations. The units were close together which is important for us. Check in/out was easy and efficient; rooms were clean, comfortable and had all the necessities. Great little water park; loved the outdoor pool - warmest pool we have ever been in. Very friendly staff. We didn't eat at the restaurants as we had brought our food with us - too many little ones to bother 'going out' to eat. Great skiing, with handy shuttle service; excellent accommodations; overall a great mini vacation with family. We would definitely go back. .

Spacious, clean, nice kitchen, comfy beds, view of the mountain and shuttle service. It doesn’t get any better than this! Attentive staff plowed the driveway, shoveled out the cars after a light snow, and applied salt to the walkways. All A+!

Good place to go if you have extra money. Probably a good place to stay for skiers with lots of money. The roads around the hotel are mostly dirt and when the snow melts it's all mud. Not a great situation if you are all dressed up for a wedding...

Rude staff, including front desk employees very disrespectful to a young mother in front of us. Tell my wife she cant check us into our room because the reservation is under my name...but we have the same last name??? Way too expensive for what you get. Double bed and cardboard pillows for $300/night is ridiculous Rooms are not insulated, so you hear every foot step outside your door as if its happening right next to you. Shower was not cleaned prior to our arrival, and did not have shampoo or body wash in it, which made showering a bit difficult Overall... just stay in Syracuse and make the drive. You'll save money and be happier at the end of the day

Nice & pleasant staff. Spacious rooms, though dated and in need of some maintenance work. Little things, like a broken soap dispenser, carpet stains, dated decor, etc. Kids (ages 4-11) had fun at the water park, but that also is in some serious need of maintenance / updating. The thing that really made us not want to come back is the dishonest pricing scheme. We were quoted a total price of $924.46 for two nights when we booked in Dec '23 on the website (+ 8% "resort fee" which is also ridiculous...just include it in the price). Upon checkout, they tried to charge us $1,296.56 for the stay, claiming that the price we were quoted on the website did not include taxes & fees. I found this incredibly dishonest and borderline fraudulent--the price on the website clearly stated "total for stay" and yet they try to tack on another $300 in taxes/fees. Felt like we were being nickle-and-dimed with hidden fees. This was out first and last time staying at Hope Lake Lodge. The indoor water park may be worth a day trip, though.

We had an amazing weekend with friends. Kids loved the waterpark, and so did we. Great time for kids and adults. The hot tub was awesome, however the rules state it’s for ages 13 and up, which was not enforced well. A lifeguard at one point even told us adults that if WE let more kids in they would close the hot tub!?! It didn’t happen, but still. After the kids were settled the adults went down to the bar and had an awesome time, The bartender Karly made great drinks and was tons of fun. We had a blast. Also shout out to Patty and Nate at Trax. We will be back for sure!!

Our family ate at the Trax restaurant after spending the day at the Waterpark. Patty was our waitress at Trax and she was excellent! Excellent service, friendly and great with the kids. Highly recommend dining there. Food was also delicious.
