Charming and well-maintained resort at a reasonable price compared to other Maldivian resorts. Perfect location in the Ari Atoll app. 25 minutes sea plane flight from Male. Owned by local people who have created a very cosy environment with a variety of small cosy places to relax and enjoy. Fabulous options for scuba diving (small PAT certified dive master centre... We stayed in the hotel for 9 days and every day we founds large cockroaches in the bathrooms in both of our rooms. Cleaner spayed them but they came back every day. My kids came back from the holiday with lots of mosquito bites on their skin. it was not possible to sit down around the activity areas without getting... More

Ranveli has a lovely front area with decking and comfy chairs and loungers to watch sunsets and go into the water from. Also loved the resident herons and iguana! Good home reef, some lovely staff members. However the buildings are really old and in need of an upgrade, there was a strong smell of mould in our room and even... More

Your stay in the Maldives depends on the island you choose, and because that was my first time I tried to read as many reviews regarding Ranveli Village. I care the most about coral reefs, coulorful fish and sandy beaches. And I could find them all. The beach surrounding the whole island is wonderful, small pool for kids, Bangalow-like restaurant,... Beautiful tiny island, we had a nice room and a nice view in the restaurant, our waiter was cool and kind. The whole island is full of foreign staffs, 95% foreign staffs mostly from bangladesh and Indonesian Spa therapists. I had a bad experience from the Spa, my girl friend and I were taking a massage, i was finished earlier than... More

I have always been put off going to the Maldives because of the prices, I was surprised to find somewhere as good as Ranvelli that didn't cost too much. Bear in mind that it's a 'mid-range resort' it is very hard to find any fault at all. Beautifully situated with a lovely sandy beach on one side and the edge... More

This was my second visit to Ranveli and we were not disappointed. I had visited Ranveli in July last year with my daughter and wanted to return with my husband and son as well. We spent the first week of April there. Everything was wonderful. We had a great welcome - staff remembered my daughter and I from our first... More

Ranveli review We stayed at Ranveli this past week for three nights and it was overall a great experience in spite of the hotels lack of thought out practices and organization. Cons - pay for every single bottle of water (not a single one is complementary). Considering the tap water is tinged brown, one bottle of water at a full... More

Good points: -Beach was very nice and clean -House reef was very good for snorkeling Bad points: -Management and staff: I travel quite a lot and can say that this is one of the worst hotel management staff I have ever encountered. Apart from a VERY FEW staff members, all the staff in this hotel seems like they dont want... More

The management adopts a criminal policies to avoid the erosion of the island, during the days they dig the sand from the lagoon and they fill dozen of plastic bags, after a while the plastic bags get emptied and they are released directly into the reef. I personally collected several plastic bags, also trapped among the corals. I asked many... More
