Nice comfortable clean studio unit. Owner very dismissive when I mentioned the lack of a motel compendium, saying that Guests could easily walk around town to find out local activities! Not the best attitude to what was genuine constructive criticism.

Great night had in Hanmer, nice accomodation. Snow fall on Sunday morning was a bonus. Have stayed here at the Glenalvon Lodge before and would stay again, friendly owners clean and warm units with good parking so handy to the Heated pools and to restaurants. 10 out of 10 for location

Glenalvon Lodge is extremely well positioned, very central, right opposite the hot pools, and a short walk to any number of restaurants, cafes and bars. Service was welcoming and, although I found the bed a little hard (maybe it’s just me!) the room was clean, spacious and comfortable. Car parking is right outside the unit, which is handy for loading... More

Had an awesome weekend away. Very clean and spacious facilities. Loved arriving late to an already heated room and a friendly greeting. Throughly enjoyed our stay. Highly recommend and very fairly priced for its high quality Will be back very soon, Olivia and Sean

This is based on paying $100NZ per night. Fantastic location directly opposite thermal pools. Room was spacious, clean, comfortable, dark flannels for make up removal, plunger with coffee to go in it, microwave and bar fridge, free wifi, some Sky channels, staff were friendly and helpful. would definitely stay here again.

A truly wonderful stay at Glenavon Lodge Motel. It was the cornerstone of a brilliant weekend away in Hanmer Springs. The facilities are outstanding and at an affordable rate. The Motel offers scooter rental, which is an exciting alternative to see the township and the rural parts of Hanmer Springs. The Motel has a very convenient location, minutes from the... More

Staff were very friendly and helpful, facilities were immaculate, convenient distance to the pools, and an overall comfortable stay all around. Would stay again in a heartbeat! No major issues. Fridge was a little noisy at night... nothing wrong with the fridge, but being so close to the bed, I was woken up on a couple of occasions.

It is our second visit and not disappointed. We spent three nights and slept soundly on a big comfortable bed in a big room with some minimal cooking facilities. Microwave and crockery. Was able to get a takeaway all nights. Dale is very friendly without being imposing. Provides separate towels for the pools. Besides the pools try the walks. My... More
