The last time I stayed here was in 2020 right before the pandemic and I’ve stayed there two other times before, I love it, so close to everything, no matter how late you get there someone will be up waiting for you, can you get a remote to control going in and out of the gate with your car, the staff is so nice and helpful, the continental breakfast is great! If possible, ask for the upstairs balcony facing the water, best view! Carabali park near, beach horseback ride is Amazing, and the restaurant is yummy try the chimichurri steak! old San Juan near and the rainforest!
I had scheduled my vacation 6 months in advance and not anticipating Hurricane Fiona would wreck havoc on my plans. I was the only guest who did not cancel my reservations and decided to tough it out! The staff was amazing and assured me that I would be safe during the Hurricane . There was a generator of the property so we when we lost electricity the generator kicked in. I have no complaints! It wasn’t the vacation I had planned on but we the best of the situation.
We decided to stay in Luquillo based on its location to our other activities in PR. If you are deciding if this area is right for you I would strongly suggest some research based on your interests. The view from our room was great and the staff was friendly. There is a gated, small front parking lot and we found a safe swimming area when walking along the shore. In our opinion, the room was a decent size and functional and in need of some upkeep. We were on the second floor so had to carry our luggage up a flight of stairs. As you decide on your plans, I would keep in mind that Luquillo is a smallish city (not a resort area) and may not be everyone's cup of tea. If I were in Luquillo in the future, I would stay here again.
This is a simple but very nice inn, right on the beach in Luquillo. We arrived late and had not notified the hotel, but they found us and let us in without any fuss. The rooms all face the ocean with a nice balcony, and the trade winds blow in to keep the room cool. The town was quiet but with some good restaurants especially Boardriders, which is just down the beach from the Inn, and a great jazz club called C Note. And you are close to El Yunque national forest, which you have to visit when you are here. Highly recommended if you are visiting Puerto Rico.
Nice place. It sits across the street from the beach. We took a nice walk in the morning along the coastline. Central location, several dinner choices nearby. The kiosks are further away. Room faced out to the sea but it was cloudy so no sunrise for us.
My wife and I stayed here for two days while doing some scuba diving in Fajardo. It's a really nice little place right across the street from an excellent public beach. We didn't have super high expectations, but I have to say we ended up being pleasantly surprised and wishing we would have stayed another night. Yes, as the other reviews state, the bed is pretty firm, but that's a matter of preference. Some travelers may like that type of bed. Parking is convenient, the staff were super friendly and helpful, our room was older but very clean and had the coldest AC I think I've ever experienced, and the view from our balcony was fantastic. It's just a couple blocks from a good surf-themed restaurant a few minutes drive from a giant strip of restaurants/bars/nightclubs. There was some loud music from cars driving by, but after about 10pm it was dead quiet. We heard that petty theft and vandalism is high in that area, but just be sure to park in the hotel's gated lot and lock your car doors and such. Bottom line: we'll stay there again in an instant when we come back to PR.…
We loved the ocean/palm tree view from our second floor balcony--wonderful for relaxing and enjoying our complementary coffee in the morning! Friendly staff, secure parking set-up, and our room was clean, comfortable, and large. It was a great base for visiting El Yunque forest, perhaps a twenty minute drive away, and the famous Luquillo kioskos were close by as well. One warning: the street in front of the hotel was a magnet for noisy cruisers on the Sunday we stayed there, but much, much quieter on Monday. We would definitely stay here again!
A great hotel with great views. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Friendly staff that pays attention to all your needs. Relax and enjoy the beach just across the road. It is in a local setting in a small beach town, Luquillo. The town has some good restaurants and bars that make the nightlife fun.
Area feels dangerous and ghetto, beach too rough to swim in. Beds are really uncomfortable. Showers only work a few minutes at a time. Breakfast is not really included. It's weak coffee and vending machine pastries. The nearby restaurants are gross and so unfriendly. Don't stay in this area!
Sitting here on the balcony right now enjoying the beach view and breeze... the hotel is in the perfect spot. Easy check in, friendly staff, secure parking and beach chairs and towels available if you ask. Room very comfortable and clean and delicious free in the office in the morning. Couldn't ask for anything more. (No elevator). Very beach-vibey town, I think the water is always rough - rip currents and lots of surf, but plenty of swimmers despite red flags.
