I have traveled the world and stayed in all sorts of places, from the funkiest to the most lavish. I must say that the hospitality, welcome, and sheer beauty of Katamah is over the top. Such a gorgeous setting, anything you need will be accommodated, the uniqueness of the property and it's amazing location, and again and always, the staff and family who run this place are so heart-centered and generous. I visit Treasure Beach regularly, and it is my only go-to place when I'm there. It's simple -- just choose Katamah and you will surely have an amazing experience!

Property's Favorite Review
Although I own a home in Treasure Beach, the original property on this land was built by one of my best friends, and I wanted to experience what has been created there since she passed. It is an incredibly special place, right on the ocean, and with incredible energy and ambiance. What started as one large, Moroccan style home and one small guest cottage has turned into an absolute oasis in keeping with the theme and dream that my friend Berry had for this land. Moni & Simon have carefully and thoughtfully built several (9-10) additional guest cottages of varying sizes and with different amenities. I stayed for a couple weeks and tried out the Marley Room and the Yana Cottage. I also had a look at the rest of the cottages and rooms on the property. They all offer a screened outdoor lanai with table/chairs and a bed to enjoy time outside in the evenings without any issues with mosquitoes. The beds are comfortable, all rooms have a ceiling fan, fan or some have air conditioning. ALL rooms and cottages have kept the beautiful Moroccan colours and themes. Very warm and peaceful and energetic. There is a BIG, beautiful common building perfect for group meetings, private dinners or parties. Equipped with couches, chairs, tables, fans and anything you might need. There is strong wifi through all rooms on the property. This can be a great remote workspace as well. There is also a common kitchen in the middle of the property that has a wonderful coffee/tea bar for guests to enjoy, along with a fridge stocked with beer, water, juice that guests can pay for, a full stove and oven to cook for yourself, microwave to heat up food and lots of pots, pans, dishes for use by all. I loved roasting breadfruit to share with other guests who hadn’t ever seen or tried it, and was cooking thinks like ackee daily for myself and to share. Having a fully stocked communal kitchen offers the opportunity to meet others if you are traveling alone or want company. The last thing I will mention is the gardens! WOW! Simon is a master gardener, and he has made it his mission to nurture and use every plant and flower and fruit tree that my friend Berry planted 25 years ago, and he has Taken clippings and built a nursery where he has grown many other plants and flowers from Original plants and trees and made the most wonderful pathways and gardens which he tends to lovingly and proudly. The staff are friendly and helpful, and having lived in this area on and off for 27/28 years, and knowing all local boutique hotels and guest accommodations, I can say with certainty that anyone traveling to Treasure Beach will find a space on this property that is perfect for their needs. Lots of common space, lots of space above two buildings to have a great overview of the sea and the mountains, VERY SAFE for solo travellers or families with a fully fenced property and pin codes to enter the property from the beach or the street. They have thought of everything, and are very kind and helpful. I am so grateful to have been able to meet these beautiful people who have built up this property that is so special to me and the whole community.

Katamah is home. My husband and I were married there 10 years ago. We went back 5 years ago to visit and everytime we step through the gates, there's a feeling that is hard to describe. All the staff go above and beyond. They are patient, friendly, knowledgeable and so much fun! The place has changed so much over the past 10 years, it gets more beautiful everytime, with lush gardens, new cabins & communal areas. Can't wait to see what's new in 5 years! Thank you katamah for being a part of your lives! 💜

It is a fantastic place, a fantastic facility and very nice people! It's wonderful here! It is a lovingly designed, clean facility, right on the beach and with many opportunities to relax. The host's tips for restaurants, bars and sights were great! A lot can be reached on foot. Thank you for this unforgettable time!

I had a nice time at Katamah. My cabin had all the necesities and was very clean. Loved the inside/outside hammocks and seating around the cabins. The surrounding restaurants are all really good too. Would definitely recommend to those looking for a tranquil place to stay.

We had such a wonderful week at the Katamah Guesthouse - a beautiful oasis with an amazing communal kitchen just a stone's throw from the beach - enjoyed many a beautiful coffee out there in the morning with the waves crashing in the background. And the sunsets, wow they were something else! Our 18 month old Izzy loved walking around the amazingly maintained garden looking for geckos and birds and bugs. Moni and the staff were so very helpful throughout our stay, taking us to the grocery store several times and always responding quickly to our requests and providing advice whenever we needed it. Minutes away from great restaurants and shops, I would highly recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to stay in Treasure Beach! Also Izzy misses Tracy. And the beach.

Very high attention to detail and intentional aesthetics. Beautiful gardens, architecture, and interior decor. The vibe is great and the view is spectacular. Short walking distance to many local spots. If you are lucky enough to book here you won’t regret it. So be nice :-)

Simon and his wife are excellent hosts. This location is absolutely beautiful. Walking distance to great local restaurants and the beach is a 20 second walk from the villa. Only two hours from Montego Bay airport and a nice drive along the south coast. Treasure Beach is absolutely Jamaica’s hidden gem. I’m definitely coming back to stay at the Katamah Villas.
