I was a bit worried when I saw the complementary earplugs in the hotel room, but it wasn't noisy on the night we stayed. The room was fine, clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was pretty good. Also a good location, very near the station and the ferry terminal. Staff were friendly and helpful. My only criticisms are that it... More

This is the first hotel you'll come to on your right as you walk up the hill. Most people passed right by, but we went upstairs and sat outside for a glorious view of the train and scenery. The food was excellent (I had Haddock Fish & Chips) and the beer was well priced (2 different types of cider, and... More

We stayed luckily one night ONLY. Hotel is situated in the center of Mallaig opposite the supermarket and above the noisy Marine bar. Earplugs are provided as “a standard” in the room upon arrival! A lot of drunken youngsters are hanging around this dirty bar. Room was clean but bathroom was too small. We paid 173 € for B&B, which... More

We stayed here at this hotel this past week. We found it to be nicely updated with very clean and comfortable rooms and sparkling clean, modern bathrooms. The staff was super friendly and kind and were eager to help us. We stayed here in order to get to the Isle of Skye and hotel is walking distance to the ferry.... More

The staff are all really friendly and you feel very welcome. Due to its location right next to the station it has good demand. Unfortunately this means that it is allowed to be rather overstretched by management in order to bring in the bucks. The breakfast was very good quality. The shower in my separate bathroom was only a trickle... More

.....which steamed in as I arrived - if you cannot stand being woken up in the early hours though, ask for a room on the other side of the hotel i.e. away from the station. I had the single room with private bathroom down the hall, which was fine for a overnight. Breakfast was plentiful and it felt like a... More

The room was nicely decorated, clean and roomy. The location is great and the view from the 2nd-floor restaurant is good. A particular staff person was extremely helpful and provide very kind service. I did not mind the 'locals' drinking at the bar because this place belongs to the people from this village.

I didn't stay in the hotel but I wanted to make a review of the restaurant on the second floor that has reopened after several years. I needed to make my review here since the restaurant is not listed yet on Trip Advisor. I brought my Mom for a meal out of curiosity as to what it looked like inside.... More

In my experience, a better choice than the West Highland Hotel, though it's more a pub with rooms than a conventional hotel. Downstairs bar looked a bit rough but my room was newly refurbished, fresh and modern with a big bath in the bathroom. Packet of earplugs on the bedside table puzzled me but, when seagulls started up at 4am,... More

Thank you for your kind review. The seagulls are a definite pain. Our bar refurbishment starts in November and should be finished before next Summer. We hope to welcome you back sometime soon. Kind regards, Jacqueline More
