The room was lovely furnished, and had a sink (with soap and lotion) on a desk. The mattresses were quite soft, and the bed wobbled once you moved. While the room was quiet, you could hear some noise coming from the non-used heater all night. The shared bathrooms were super clean and had soap and shampoo as well. Breakfast was... More

There is a good reason why this B & B is not recommended by Visit Scotland or any other organisation for that matter. The facilities are shocking. No ensuite in any room and when I got up in the morning I had to queue to get to the toilet. Think there was another 9 people staying that night. There are... More

Management response:

I believe this to be a malicious and vicious report from some person who has not actually stayed at Springbank Guest House in Mallaig. The first error that this person made was to state that they stayed with us in December 2015. We were not open last winter - we closed at the beginning of November 2015 and did not... More

My husband and I enjoyed 1 night at Springbank. That night, the seaview outside the window is beautiful. The dining room is spacious and has very pretty seaview also. The breakfast is delicious. The bedroom is clean and spacious. There is even a sink is the room.

We spent one night in Springbank and very much enjoyed it. The rooms were spacious and, even though our rooms were not en-suite, the shared bathrooms were spotless and very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent, tasty and very filling. Thoroughly recommended!

You cannot find fault with this B&B - and you wouldn't want to. Sandra welcomed us before we had time to knock. She showed us where we could safely store our bikes and then to our rooms. We had a single room with a sea view and one with garden view. Both were sensibly proportioned and furnished / decorated to... More

We spent 2 nights before going to Rum and 1 night when we came back. Very warm welcome, comfortable room and excellent breakfasts. Sandra and staff couldn't do enough to help during our stay and I would recommend Springbank for anyone looking for B&B in the area.

Lovely little B&B ran by lovely people. We checked in and out with no trouble, beds were comfortable, breakfast options were fairly vast and plenty for us two, on a family visit. The building itself is just by the centre which makes it a lovely wee walk after having some food and drinks in one of the restaurants or pubs.... More

The Guest House was beautifully situated a short walk from the station and overlooking the harbour. We could not have been made to feel more welcome. The room whilst not en suite was well furnished and spotlessly clean with the most comfortable bed! Breakfast was superb and well presented in the lovely dining room. Would return tomorrow!

A very comfortable and attractive Guest House which was handy for a break before getting the ferry to Skye the next morning. We were given an excellent Scottish breakfast that set us up for our journey.
