Second time at this B&B in Mallaig, was every bit as good as the first time. Jeanette fantastic host and the breakfast second to none. She couldn't do enough for you. Fantastic views across the harbour and only a short, but flat, stroll into the town centre.

A short distance from the centre of Mallaig [walkable if you're feeling energetic, but we weren't and there's plenty of free parking along the road in] and just across the road from the harbour. Well positioned with lovely views of the harbour and hassle free parking. Jeanette made us very welcome and the room was very comfortable and the bathroom well equipped with the best towels we had all holiday! Breakfast was excellent and Jeanette could not have been more attentive. Would certainly stay there again.

Can't fault the Western Isles in any way - our host Jeanette was very welcoming and helpful, the room and en-suite was very comfortable and had the kippers for breakfast which was a nice change to the usual.

We spent three days at Western Isles, and Jeanette was wonderful. We were two couples and had two rooms. The service was great, and Jeanette was always ready with a smile, and helpful advice. We booked the room over the phone, with no hassel of deposit and other booking formalities.. Mrs Jeanette was kind to confirm the booking and assured us the availibility. The Watt family bent over backwards to make our stay in Mallaig (very wet, Mallaig) comfortable. The room was excellent and the breakfast overwhelming (try the kippers). Thoroughly recommended. Try the family ferry to Knoydart too (on a fine day): the afternoon ferry is more in the way of a wildlife cruise.

We stayed in Mallaig one day and we rested there, at Western Isles Guest House. Mrs. Jeanette treated us so kindly that we felt like home. Very helpful owners, mother and daughter team, room small but spotlessly clean and comfortable.
