We wondered where we were heading when we finally arrived at the hotel - it was quite out of the way. The hotel is very 'olde worlde' and the bar and lounge rooms are very comfortable. Our room was a good size, but the bathroom was small. The beautiful gardens are a real highlight. The restaurant served lovely meals and... More

We stayed here for 3 nights. The hotel staff gave us a warm welcome and went out of their way to look after us. Nothing was too much trouble. The rooms are a good size with lovely views of the grounds. You can spend hours watching all the different animals in their natural habitat. We spotted at least 3 woodpeckers... More

My husband and I spent 3 nights at this hotel in early June. First of all the staff - Forbes, Miro and all the other staff we encountered were lovely. The place - our first impressions were of a large manor house past its glory (that is not to say the hotel was not clean - it was) but, surprisingly,... More

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Kildrummy. It is in a peaceful location, the gardens are beautiful, and it is a little less than an hour from the Speyside/whiskey area. Fun to stay in a real castle. They have a nice lounge/library area for relaxing and drinks as well. Only two small things was wifi can be... More

I don't think I have ever experienced such a warm, friendly welcome at a hotel. The staff were exceptional from start to finish. This is a hotel of great character, set in a stunning rural Aberdeenshire location. It isn't the easiest to get to but the journey is well worth it. The rooms are comfortable, some with beautiful views over... More

We visited for a late lunch on Sunday and had the bar to ourselves for our meal which was lovely (especially the sticky toffee pudding) then we moved to the drawing room for coffee. Staff were nice and friendly and made sure we were looked after and gave us a tour of the rooms in the hotel while we waited... More

Great curb appeal, very charming from the outside but the inside is in need of updating and upkeep. Our room had very dated décor and not in a charming old fashioned way. In addition to outdated décor, the housekeeping was lacking, the bath had a toilet that refused to flush, and the walls were very thin. We had been traveling... More

Very nice old building with beautiful surroundings. The staff is always ready to help. Do not miss the toffee pudding. Nice ice creams too. Great breakfast although a bit slow (allow at least 45 mins to enjoy it).

We have been there many times in the past but this is the first time for over a year. We had a bar meal in the bar which is new from the last time we were there as it used to be only in the dining room. The food was excellent and the service was first class, and got our... More

Made a visit to Balmoral Castle and decided to make a weekend of it. We stayed at Kildrummy Castle Hotel. What a beautiful hotel. Could not find any fault. Hotel beautiful, clean and very tasteful. Food in the restaurant excellent. Service first class. All staff friendly and very attentive - made you feel special and nothing was too much trouble.... More
