Arrived on a beautiful sunny afternoon, so quickly dumped our bags in our room and headed out to sit on the lawn and enjoy a couple of yummy cocktails in the sunshine. After a quick change we headed for dinner which from Amuse bouche to dessert was faultless! All washed down with a lovely and very reasonably priced white Rioja.... More

12 Cyclists descended on the staff. Luckily we booked so no dramas apart from the booking did not include my gluten free diet. Oh dear! The staff were very helpful and managed to rustle up a very tasty lunch. Thanks. The only bit of criticism was that the other guys could have done with a bigger serving...but that is probably... Our self drive tour was to stay in Castles and Manor houses through the Scottish highlands. Our first stop was ok, so we're were so pleasantly surprised when we got to Kilnrummy Castle Hotel, just beautiful. Old world charm of a property over a hundred years old. Beautifully appointed and decorated, lovely comfortable well appointed room. The best thing yet... More

We were fortunate enough to stay at Kildrummy for one night during our travels in the highlands and were more than pleased with our stay! The staff are extremely helpful and kind. They went out of their way to help us with our bags, get checked in and throughout our entire stay. The food there is good. I had the... More

I come here since 27 years. Stunning house. As a hotel excellent. After many changes of management, the restaurant is now run by a young team of gastronomic ignorants. Come with limited expectations please. Try the filet steak, even they cannot get it wrong.

My husband and I stayed at the Kildrummy Castle Hotel in November 2014 for a mini winter break for a weekend and we couldn't have made a better decision. The service was EXCELLENT. From the warm, personal, friendly welcome, the turned down beds, to the gorgeous gorgeous property, with pheasants, red squirrels and rabbits running around the gardens, to the... More

This was a large B & B with a hunting lodge motif: oak wainscotting, oak furniture, etc. From our room we could see the original thousand year old castle. We were told lodge was several hundred yrs old. All downstairs rooms were open to guests; these included library & bar. Small restaurant with excellent food. Beautiful garden around the hotel... We recently booked a room for a private dinner for a family celebration. The entire event was fantastic and the team at the castle were well organised, extremely attentive to our needs and the setting was outstanding. It really is a hidden gem and the service and location together make it hard to beat. Thank you Forbes and team.

My wife and I stayed at the Kildrummy Hotel for two nights recently. On the first night, we decided to try the restaurant. When I started eating my main dish (chicken) I found I was chewing away on something that seemed rather tough. I realised it wasn’t food and pulled a section of blue plastic packaging of some sort out... More
