A friend and I were cycling off road from Portland Bill to Cambridge duringwhich this was by far the best place we stayed at. Lovely farm, great breakfast partly consisting of the best soya porrage I've ever had, very good quality bacon, sausauge, tomato etc & two perfect poached eggs. Very friendly people who even gave us a lift in...

Old Stoke is conveniently located near Salisbury and is near a few pubs or you can return to Salisbury for dinner, Tracie, our hostess, was the most attentive hostess we have had in the eight of nine B&Bs we have stayed in, which is rather amazing because she is a very busy woman. Our twin room and bathroom were comfortable...

Walked from Salisbury through the beautiful countryside - about 10 miles. We were made very welcome by the charming and elegant Tracey. After refreshing, we had a short walk around the house and village - spectacularly beautiful in the late afternoon sunlight. As we had no car and there was no restaurant in the village, Tracey very kindly cooked us...

We stayed one night in Old Stoke B & B and were hugely impressed by the warm welcome, the beautiful historic house and surroundings, and the fine attention to detail and comfort. My husband and I both work in visual arts and were delighted by the decor! Tracie welcomed us warmly, immediately offering a lovely tray of tea and biscuits...

We don't often do B&B but we were so pleased we did this time. Mrs Pickford made us feel so welcome that we had a wonderful weekend. We took the twin room with the shower en-suite. It was so cozy and comfortable. The decor was fresh and tasteful, every facility was catered for. We took a bottle of water with...

Room very clean although not en suite.the floor slanted making it a bit awkward to get ready but that adds to the ambience of the house. The bathroom was across the hallway which wasn't a problem. No shower though only bath but the towels were the best i have...

Ok, this review is a bit late since we stayed at Old Stoke at the end of 2011. But hopefully nothing has changed. Because it's the best B&B we've ever been to - and this is not an exaggeration! We had an ensuite. There are I think two rooms and both are situated in a separate wing of the big...

We stayed here for one night and could not fault it. It had all the facilities of a really good hotel - comfy beds, fluffy towels, bath robes, toiletries etc, but with a warm personal welcome with tea and home made cake! The house itself is thatched and full of charm, beautifully decorated and very comfortable. There is a beautiful...

What a find! It was an absolute privilege staying there, The surrounding area was something to behold and even the weather was superb. The room was comfortable and the facilities were excellent. As for Tracey - what a fantastic host. Thoroughly recommended.

“Tip: Put "51.028240, -1.921472" in your sat nav, as its very rural and easy to get lost. There are only two rooms one is a double with a bathroom and the other is a twin with a shower en-suite. Mobile phone reception is a bit flaky in that area.”
