I stayed here in June with my family to do the Yorkshire 3 Peaks challenge and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We got a warm welcome from the hosts who couldn't do enough to accommodate us from setting up a very early breakfast before we headed out for the walk, packing hearty packed lunches and setting us a place in... Tim & Gloria are very gracious hosts. We where met at the door after a day on motorcycles to be shown to our room where the accommodation was comfortable and absolutely spotless. The use of their garage was offered to store our bikes in overnight & we where made to feel very welcome. Breakfast was excellent & freshly cooked to... More

This is characterful house, Tim and Gloria are the epitome of how hosts should be. Our room was spotlessly clean and tidy. Amazing views out over the countryside. Bed was very comfortable and we had a peaceful nights sleep. Breakfast is served in the huge conservatory and was delicious. There is a bar with an honesty box Pool table Plenty... More

The Pines is a lovely place with very welcoming hosts Tim & Gloria. Clean rooms & comfy beds await the tired traveller. Tea & coffee facilities in the rooms. If you can, pre arrange to stay for an evening meal. It's so much better than pub grub. Tim is a Chef (he says he's an ex Chef), but whatever, the... More

Well Tim and Gloria our hosts excelled themselves again. This is the fourth time we have stayed and it definitely will not be our last. Our room was lovely and clean as usual, plenty of tea and coffee. Breakfasts were delicious and plenty of it as well. Tim and Gloria go out of their way to make you feel welcome... More

Found and booked via internet. Lovingly assembled facility. Lounge and licensed bar. Breakfast room with more than 100 year-old wine-tree. Outdoor terrace. Clean room and bathroom. Suitable as a starting point for exploring the Dales and the Lake District. Garage for motorbikes. We are considering to spend at the next journey several days here. Near to town with nice pubs.

We have now stayed at The Pines on 3 occasions and each time we have found it very warm and comfortable especially during the cold weather we experienced at the end of April. Gloria and Tim made us very welcome and went out of their way to be helpful including drying our very wet outdoor gear. We have stayed in... More

Lovely room with a very comfortable bed and facilities, the bar area is great as is the outside patio and lovely conservatory with a real growing vine inside.
