After being told this pub had gone up in the world we decided to try it out but wish we hadn't, the starter was good but after waiting 5 minutes and then having to find our own cutlery it all went down hill from there. The beef Sunday lunch was terrible, the beef was still mooing and was chewy and... More

Great food. Plenty of real ales to choose from, selection always changing. Warm, friendly staff who work hard to make sure you feel welcome. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Excellent menu choices even for the kids. Free Wi-Fi to keep the kids quiet.

We stayed here on the 21st August. We arrived before check in and and asked to leave our car in the car park which was fine while we went and did the waterfall walks ( gorgeous) When we finally got back and checked in we were shown to our room. It was pretty standard but very comfy and had all... More

Went for tea here whilst on our weekend break, food was fab, we both had a burger (mine being veggie) and was great. Loads of seating and fast friendly service! The price as extremely reasonable and place has large car park so plenty of spaces!!

We stayed at the hotel for two nights to celebrate our anniversary. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel very welcome indeed. Our room was great & everywhere was spotlessly clean. Lovely crisp white bedding, fresh towels, nice bottles of toiletries, and lots of tea coffee etc. We ate at the hotel on both nights, and being... More

First impression was a very nice, clean village and small. From the minute of walking into the Hotel Entrance was greeted with welcoming smiling staff, called for the Manager to deal with our booking who came through again warm welcome, friendly and professional with relevant paperwork to be signed. Showed us to our room, booked us a table for our... More

We stayed for 1 night for the 1940s weekend. Lovely clean white bedding, I did check to see if the matteress and pillows had protecters on and they all did. Best of all, wrapped disposable cups in the bathroom, plenty of goodies to munch on next to the kettle. Breakfast was excellent...oh yes good vibes from the bar staff.

Lovely spot in a nice village. Went for lunch quite late and just made last orders. The food was pretty grim to be honest especially at about £10 a meal. Six pieces of scampi, pale chips that tasted as if they had been reheated, tablespoon of peas. The wine wasn't that good either. So two mains and two drinks was... More

Went for lunch after the lovely waterfall walk. The young lad on the bar and waiting on was great. Sorry we didn't catch his name. We sat in the garden and our two dogs joined us. He even gave them a dish of water. Food was lovely though my partner was expecting a few mor chips than he paid for.... More
