Called here after a tireing day at Wensleydale show. We had a friendly greeting and a fuss of the dog. The place seemed clean and tidy plus accepted children and dogs plus had wifi. Drinks prices were reasonable.

Looked OK from outside. No music or atmosphere inside which would have made it instantly more friendly. Girls working were friendly enough but zero interaction with guests (first thing you should do when someone walks in - the people working are the face of the business) Asked for sandwiches to be plain (for a child) with no salad and some...

It was about a year since our last visit when we had already noticed improvements. This time was even better. The welcome offered to visitors is warm and friendly and the land-lady even remembered us from last year which is an amazing feat of memory and a wonderful example of customer care. The room was bright and fresh with very...

A carvery that permits dogs in the bar area is unusual. A carvery with crisp vegetables is almost unheard of - they are so often over-cooked. A choice of three meats and two portion sizes. A good selection of beers at the bar and very friendly staff made this a great Sunday lunch while visiting the Dales. The only improvement...

We enjoyed a lunch there and the food was very good as well as the local beers. The hotel is well located close to the car park and that makes it very conveniënt. The staff is friendly and very helpful, so it's a recommendation to stay there or to have a meal and some drinks.

They are making a lovely job of the refurbishment in the dining room where the craft fair was happening, We had hot chocolate drinks (strange in August but my favourite hot drink!) it was a lovely drink served with...

We stopped in here with our 4 month old and dog in tow and although the food was nice and the surroundings nice enough, when I asked if there was somewhere I could change my baby I was told there was a changing mat under the sink in the ladies. There's no table or space in the ladies, when I...

A two night stay, yes the room had some marks from previous repairs and leaks, but the new owners are gradually getting everything sorted. Nice bedding, great breakfast and very friendly hosts - at reasonable prices. Give them a try and enjoy a Dales market town.

Has a great variety of food and drinks. Had a wonderful meal with my family. I can personally recommend the lamb shank! The staff are very friendly and the service given was excellent. Looking forward to the Sunday carvery which has been highly recommended to me.
