My husband and I both said our stay was one of the best we’d ever had, and fantastic value for money... and we stay away a lot for business and pleasure. I thought the ambience of the historic building would be what set the hotel apart from the rest and whilst that was amazing an

It was my birthday, and the staff went to extra lengths to make the stay really special. The room was beautiful, well stocked with tea/coffee and water. All the food was locally sourced, and perfectly cooked.

We met for a Book Club get together. We had a lovely table in the bar just next to the open fire. Just perfect for us. The food was very good and we did try most things. We did however need to ask for things - one pork dish was missing the crackling whilst the other had it, our t

What is the cancellation policy when booking rooms? Thank you, Melody
I would strongly suggest ringing the Inn to find out and also to discuss their available room options as each one is very individual and vary in size and furnishings. They are very friendly and helpful and the Inn is charming and well run. The food and wine.... superb! They are dog friendly which attracts a number of people to stay there. Hope this is helpful!

Dog friendly
Definitely a dog friendly place. They are made to feel very welcome. Just a couple of points though: I believe that one of the restaurant rooms is a dog free zone for those who don't appreciate animals when they are eating. The other is that there is a great walk nearby but it is in a deer park and if your dog is prone to a spot of deer chasing, its a long way on a lead!!!
