Having read recent reviews before travelling I was wondering if I’d made a mistake by choosing this hotel but I definitely did NOT!!! For the price we paid we really couldn’t ask for more, we really did have a fantastic time. I cannot understand why people feel the need to leave negative reviews. We (my 22 year old daughter & I) stayed in room 113 (suite) which was very modern and clean and the housekeeper visited every day. We did have the train line running below us but it really didn’t bother us. It was also noisy from the entertainment from 9 pm until midnight but we had earplugs so we were ok! There was a hairdryer, ironing board & iron but no kettle. I believe they can be hired from reception but we didn’t bother. We found all the staff helpful and welcoming, especially Mohamed in the restaurant! The pool area was fantastic, right next to the beach, huge pool, plenty of sunbeds for everyone and a lovely poolside bar. We went half board so had to buy all drinks except for the ones at breakfast. Lots of lovely cocktails to choose from and these were proper freshly mixed cocktails, not like some of the ready mixed ones I’ve had in other hotels in Europe. You can even have cava at breakfast if you wish, free of charge! The food was lovely, plenty of choice but not always very hot. It would also be helpful if dishes were labelled in more detail as it wasn’t always easy to tell what was what. There is a boat trip booking hut right outside the hotel on the beach and the boat picks up from there too, very convenient! If you are thinking of booking this hotel PLEASE DO! In my opinion they really don’t deserve the negative reviews they’ve received.

It's hard to not return home disappointed when hopes were so high booking this holiday. Perfect location, yes. Ideally situated on the beach front and a couple of minutes from a train station that will take you into Barcelona. That's where the praise ends. This isn't a 4 star resort. Perhaps a middle ground 3 star resort if the hotel is on its A game. First day into the holiday, we realised quite quickly that the air con in the room wasn't going to muster for a comfortable night's sleep so I headed to reception where staff took my room number and assured me the service team would be up and that they would look into my request for a fan for the room. Upon checkout at the end of the holiday there had been no service check on the air con in the room and no fan, neither any reference of the issue ever again. This was troubling because after that initial issue, we had to speak with the management of the hotel for a different matter. Javier, one of the older waiters/service team in the restaurant. He might be one of the rudest men I've ever dealt with. I still don't know if he handled the situation that arose the way he did through malice or stupidity but either answer to his approach is worrying. I'm currently being treated for prostate cancer and need to take a tablet morning and evening right before a meal. Breakfast this was fine as there is juice available but of the evening time this meant buying drinks. I need a fizzy drink to swallow the tablets with but knowing a shop on the front sold cans of pop for a euro, I thought nothing of buying a few of those instead of a coke each evening in the restaurant. (The cost of one covering the few I got from the shop) Javier approached me as soon as I opened my pop to take my tablet and told me this was not possible at all. Standing over me and talking quite loudly I am almost sure the other holiday members dining heard the entire conversation. I tried to reference the reasons I needed to do it this way but he just wouldn't listen. My wife and I were instantly embarrassed and put off dining there. I should also mention this was our first night dining and we were here on part of our honeymoon. Terrible customer service. The front desk rectified the situation but the holiday was simply impossible to enjoy after that. Additionally, the lifts are inadequate and unable to service all the customers in a timely fashion. The "Aircon" in the lifts sweat and leak a lot, be mindful they don't drop on you. A shirt of mine got a dirty water/dust stain from not realising I was under the drips from the unit in the lift. Would I stay here again? No, sadly not. Could I recommend this hotel to any one? Again no, sadly not. I heard other people referencing the poor service in the restaurant so it wasn't the case of an off night. I think there needs to be better training put in place, especially regards customer conflict Resolution. The hotel wasn't a fortune to stay at so I guess you get what you pay for but times are hard and customers are entitled to expect better for their money. Avoid.

Our overall experience not great, but good. Will I visit this hotel for a vacation again or recommend it? Probably, not. The hotel has a great location. It has a direct access to the beach, unlike many other hotels in Santa Susanna, where people need to walk at least 10-20 min to get to the beach and back to their hotel, which, let's be honest, is not a high level of comfort. If you don't mind, then you are all set. The hotel is 3 min away from the walking area, full of restaurants, shops, pharmacies etc., which makes it quite easy to access what you need at any time of the day. it is also close to public transportation. There are nice fountains in about 20 min walk from the hotel. The hotel is clean, food is good, but not great. The sweets and fruit were great. Entertainment was carried out on daily basis, first for kids and then for everybody else. Pools were nice and clean, towels are provided in exchange of deposit. Kids zone was also nice, with many options for children of different ages and tastes, but a child can stay there only with a parent. Hotel staff was very hardworking and as helpful and as polite as possible considering the flow of the people staying at the hotel. Despite the fact that it is a beach front hotel, the beach is not private. And this had nothing to do with hotel decisions or services. But if you are looking for an experience of a private beach where only hotel guests can be, then choose another country, as there are not private beaches in Spain, like it or not. What could be a little reconsidered and adjusted: - Even having a full board, you still need to buy soft drinks, which is really weird. Moreover, no coffee/tea is served at the restaurant during lunch and dinner, you can buy it at the var, which is on the opposite side. It is not the end of the world, but it is definitely far from being called full board. - Room service was very slow, sometimes towels were not delivered, we had to call the reception to ask, which is not appropriate for a 4-start hotel. - Reception was full 24/7, which made it impossible to approach for minor questions, not talking about checking in and out. Maybe the hotel could reconsider and add staff at the reception desk. - Hotel staff mostly speaks very basic or no English. - Animation team was doing a good job, but definitely, they could do better, and considering the big flow of people in this season, more people need to be involved in animation. - Maybe adding few slides to one of the pools would be a good asset for kids entertainment, given that there are really few minor things for kids, and they are mostly under the sun, so kids can't touch them during the day. - I read lots of comments about the noise late night. If you want to avoid it, book a room, which does not look at the sea or pool. - No bottled water, tea/coffee facilities in the rooms, which would be maybe fine for a 3-star hotel. Toiletries were of a very low quality. Last but not least, not very related to the hotel, but rather to the type of the beach. It is not ideal for kids, as the sea goes deep immediately. Sand is not very small, not like in Greece or Golden Sands.

Dear Misterymm, Thank you very much for taking the time to write this review which will help other guests and ourselves. We are pleased that the location, services and equipment in general were to your liking. We do not have the possibility of All Inclusive but we do have the possibility that the first drink is included in the restaurant if you book a VIP room directly on our website or directly with us. Reception is always available, and as in any hotel, sometimes there are people all the time and sometimes there are not, it always depends on the moment. I am sorry if you found that it was not always available. The room service is always on duty but sometimes something specific can be forgotten, I apologise for that. Currently the facilities we have are those that the Town Hall allows us, without being able to extend or modify major works. We have available the purchase of minibar if guests need it. Thank you very much for giving us feedback on your stay, it helps us a lot. Best regards, Hotel Tahiti Playa

Again I am sorry that you did not enjoy your stay at our resort as you had hoped. Best regards, Hotel Tahiti Playa

Very nice and clean hotel in good location at the beach. However I would not recommend going with small children as there are night clubs around the hotel which play loud music until midnight Mon-Sun. The hotel itself plays loud music outside until midnight everyday also even though the signs in the hotel say to keep quiet after 23…My baby couldn’t fall asleep until they stopped playing music as it was so loud in the room it felt like we were there. There is also a tram line directly outside the hotel with trams going past frequently. The food was very good but some of the things were raw and I’ve heard people asking to refry things for them.

Dear F5153LSjoannaw, Thank you very much for your comments and for sharing your experience at the hotel. We are pleased that our facilities and services have been to your liking and I am sorry that the noise outside the hotel has been so annoying for you. Santa Susanna is a town with a busy nightlife that tries to ensure that there is good coexistence between all tourists but sometimes it does not suit all preferences and for that I apologise. Yours sincerely, Hotel Tahiti Playa

We're here now and all I can say is its the worse hotel I've ever stayed in. We upgraded to Vip. We're supposed to have vip area around the pool but everyone uses it not just the people that have paid for it. We go to the bar for drinks just to be told to sit down and the waiter will serve us, eventually after several waves at the waiter he comes to take our order and then he disappeared and eventually he returns with our drink. It takes about a hour from getting his attention to getting our drinks. Most of the time the waiter ignored us even though we tipped him everytime. The view from our VIP room is showing. We can see the sea but we have road works straight outside. I wish we had saved some money by not going VIP. I won't recommend this hotel and will definitely not be returning

Dear Georgina, I am sorry to read this comment about your experience at our hotel and I am sorry that we did not live up to your expectations. We do have a pool area exclusively for our VIP guests and we try to make sure it is always available for them, on occasion another guest may have sat in the pool but we are always very aware of this and I will check again with my pool colleagues to ensure this does not happen. On the other hand, I am sorry that you have experienced this bad service with the Bar team, we have not had any new additions and generally we always have very good comments about the team and the good service they provide, we will be more attentive and I will talk to the colleagues. I insist, I am sorry for the inconvenience caused but it was a specific moment that you may have experienced during your stay as it is not usual in our hotel. Reception or the Bar have no record of any of the incidents you have mentioned, surely we would have been able to help you at the time if you had let us know. Best regards,

Our room was small but the shower and bed were excellent. The hotel was good at providing entertainment for kids when the weather was poor and It also offered yoga and other group exercise classes. The buffet was great and catered for all kinds of diets. Lots of halal / gluten free / veggie options. The breakfast buffet had all kinds of vegan milk. I’d recommend the train journey to Girona. It’s a beautiful city. Blanes was worth a visit too but there was a long walk / bus journey to the town centre from the train station. Overall a very good hotel in a nice spot. The local area was busy which worked well for us (especially in the rain) but might not suit everyone.
