Detailed Reviews
Read the reviews here so felt worried on arrival. Me & my husband came with 5 other couples for a cheap weekend away. First impressions of hotel were good, clean & tidy.
* Reception staff very helpful and friendly.
* Rooms small and basic but clean, showers good. Fine for a weekend but might be too small for a week/fortnight.
*Bar was great, tbh was the main reason we were there as a group. Not drinking out of plastic was a big thing for me so was pleased to be given decent glasses unless around the pool area. The lager is Estrella, daily cocktails aren’t great.
*Food wasn’t great, we paid a very small upgrade on our booking but planned to eat out so wasn’t a problem for us but if your budget is to stay in to eat you may struggle, however, the bar has cooked snacks, burgers, hotdogs, chips and similar that were good if you don’t mind fried food.
*Pool is very small, minimal beds and a queue in the mornings to get a spot which is pretty much shaded. We didn’t use the pool and opted for the beach and hired beds from Sands at HToP, these are reduced to HToP residents at €3 a day per item.
Would I stay again, absolutely, this hotel is a 5 minute walk from the beach and perfectly located for all bars and restaurants.
Do not visit expecting 5 star luxury for 3 star prices because you will be disappointed.

Hotel actually not that bad, staff nice enough. Food is sufficient obviously not gourmet dining but it isn’t going to be is it. Air conditioning is none existent though which is a huge fail because sleeping of an evening is very unpleasant. Very outdated unit from probably the 70s when hotel was built - blows out zero cold air but just makes a very loud noise as if it is working this lets the hotel down massively needs some money spending on the air con system.

Just spent 10 days here . Taking into account the fact that this is a budget hotel there were some real pros and cons for me .
Pros
The hotel is in a great location. It was clean and maids visited daily . Plenty of plug sockets. As per photo you get a real discount on sun beds at the beach . There is entertainment. All staff were polite and helpful. The rooms were quite soundproofed . Our air con worked . Shower was good with plenty of hot water . Enjoyed visiting the wine palace with lots of wine to taste , carefour just round corner and lots of markets.
Cons
Room small and beds were hard . Food was not always the best … although we could always find something to eat . Tables are packed in very close together which gives a canteen feel. The sea was hard to get into … a steep ledge and on some days very strong waves . There are many beach sellers ( although we did enjoy having a massage … which was a bargain price ). We could not find any public toilets by the beach.

We arrived in early August as a group of 7 adults and 7 children. The girl on reception could not have been more professional. We were allocated 4 rooms on the top floor and this could have been better as there were only 2 lifts between customers and staff. The rooms were clean and well maintained, with fresh towels and linen. We booked all inclusive for 7 nights. The food was plentiful and as good as can be expected when catering for large numbers. On occasions it was not as hot as I would have liked and perhaps food warming mats or bay-marie type devices would have helped. The food was fresh and tasty. San is ( chips, hot dogs and burgers) were served outside of meal times and were plentiful. The hotel provided daily entertainment for children and the young lady co-ordinating it was excellent. Almost all the staff were polite and informative, the exception being a couple of bar staff who would either feign ignorance of a request or present a bored indifferent facade. But everyone is allowed a bad day( or week) and overall it was a good experience. The pool was nice, but smallish with limited seating and sunbed area. This was a good choice for a large family budget holiday and well worth considering.
If you desire a bigger outside seating area round the pool, a sister hotel, the hi top Planemar in Malgrat we mar ( less than a mile away) may be better.

We booked here in feb 22 for June , 3 days before flying out ( 13th June 2022) were told the hotel had gone into administration.
We were Offered an equal terrible other h-top . Spoke to a local at The opposite cafe Who told us this hotel has been closed for over 3 years and still takes money for bookings . She regularly sees families turn up to a closed hotel with suitcases .
We count ourselves lucky we had 3 days notice . Do not waste your money go elsewhere.

Hotel was very poor throughout especially the rooms air con is very poor and doesn't work at all ! The restaurant had moldy bread and the food was stone cold . The bedroom had mold on the ceiling and smelt like very bad drainage... the hotel staff was very rude towards you if you mentioned the smell and even stormed into my room to spray a whole bottle of air freshener and choked me out with it 😡

This hotel had the most disgusting food I’ve ever eaten in my life. Sometimes they didn’t even haf food so we needed to eat outside. The personal root in our bags to. The pictures on the internet was not the same in reality, exempel the pool looked much bigger than it actually was. Just bad

Fab few days in the sunshine!!
Not sure what people who wrote the bad reviews are expecting its not the ritz!!
Really clean hotel, rooms are basic but meet all needs, really good shower !!
Staff are fab, food was fine standard basic meat / potatoes/ veg/ salad / pasta.
Pool was in the shade for the first hour all sun-beds in the sun by lunch.
Don’t be put off by the bad reviews we absolutely loved it and couldn’t pick fault for what we paid!!

First of all the location is great and all the staff are so friendly and helpful. The hotel itself just needs a total face-lift and a really good clean. For a 3 star I expect the hotel to be better than this. We have stayed in allot of 2 star hotels in Spain that are far better than this. The rooms need a good clean and some tlc as fixtures are falling apart. The balcony is small and you can just about sit out on them. The pool area is snug and there is no lifeguard. So when kids are dive bombing in expect to get splashed . Also it dies spend most of the day in the sun, there are only about 26 loungers to choose from. The worst downfall is the noise that people make echoing down the corridoors in the early hours sonin peak season expect to get woken up between 2am and 5am.

Can't fault the hotel or staff. OK rooms are a tad small but alright , cleaned every day. Good as a base . Unable to comment on the food as we were on a room only tariff. Great for what we paid, holiday is what you make it. If you want 5* then pay for it but for 3* I really recommend. It is what it is.
